I knew i was forgetting/missing something. That worked like a charm!
Now I get the fun of doing all of the DSDT and SSDT patches done again to get the brightness control and battery status working :D
Had an issue with my system and was going to recreate my install USB since i seem to have misplaced my old one. When trying to create one with the Clover instructions on this site and then patch the mach_kernel i dont see the mach_kernel on the USB drive after the first terminal script...
I know this may refer to laptops but I think I may be having a brain fart. I thought I was able to create a clover Mavericks install USB and be able to patch the mach_kernel to boot haswell laptops. I created a USB using this guide with a 10.9.4 and 10.9.5 Install OS X Mavericks app downloaded...
Cool. I will take a look. I am not ready for the Yosemite jump yet, seems like it is close to being fully working though.
Will the frame buffer patch work for 10.9?
Do I need to follow the complete instructions for the Yosemite HD4400 patching prior to the frame buffer patch?
What extensions...
Are you getting sleep on lid close? I have not really tried that. I usually just shut down. When I try to reboot I sometimes have a heck of a time getting it to boot again and every so often the wifi card shows that it is not installed. Usually is fixed on next reboot. I have a BCM card...
Audio working. Sometimes on reboot wifi card does not show up but comes back after restarting again. No i just need to get a larger SSD for this machine to make it my everyday machine :D
Woohoo! dimming now works. Still have some graphics glitches in the menu bar but using 0xa260006 gives the most stable performance. Funny its only the File, Edit, View etc menus that have glitches. Battery, Time, Wifi etc are perfect.
I followed these instructions but cannot seem to get the backlight to work. Will SSDT-7.aml only work if I have a SSDT.aml installed? And I assume the EFI/ACPI/patched is where I am putting these files? since I am not using an Extras folder.
Ah, got it. Ok. ran all of the SSDTs and DSDT that I had attached before from the Linux extraction through iasl and have all of the .dsl files.
I still get compile errors in Maciasl when trying to compile some of them.
I take it I am doing this in Linux? I don't seem to get an output file when I use the iasl -da command. It says it loads the table and then it cannot output the file.
No way to get a valid disassembly with only the SSDTs. Need all native SSDTs + DSDT.
SSDT.AML in your ZIP is not native.
These should be all of my original files from MaciASL
Held power button for 30 seconds (battery still connected) and it booted now.
In looking at my SSDTs extracted with Linux I have a few with compile errors that I don't see a patch for in your repository. I am attaching all of them in a zip file. The ones with compile errors are SSDT2, SSDT3 and...
Nope. Had it turned on then shut down. Booted from Ubuntu USB to extract all of my SSDT tables and this popped up when I rebooted. Going to see if I can get it to boot from my usb installer and do a reinstall again I guess.
