Calling All Diablo III Players - Share Benchmarks/Experience

It appears that Blizzard broke the FPS counter in the 1.0.3 patch. Not sure what's up with that.

Calling All Diablo III Players - Share Benchmarks/Experience

Thought I'd update here. So, I sent my previous system off to a friend (the H55 build) because he needed a new computer and he also wanted to play D3. While I was waiting for RAM to show up for the new build (Z68 build) I actually used my Macbook Air 11" for a couple of days. Was it...

[SUCCESS] first build ever - Gigabyte & Corsair 650D

Re: first build ever - Hackintosh or otherwise Take a look here: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ ... 71a5b0d970 More specifically, check out the cold cathode kits. I've personally used them in the past and thought they looked and worked great. They'll proved much better lighting...

[SUCCESS] first build ever - Gigabyte & Corsair 650D

Re: first build ever - Hackintosh or otherwise I don't know of any way to manually control the fans through OS X. If you're referring to the motherboard controlling the fans via PWM, that's different. At that point, typically only the CPU fan header on the motherboard will do this, and even...

[SUCCESS] first build ever - Gigabyte & Corsair 650D

Re: first build ever - Hackintosh or otherwise I use the fan controller. This will allow you to adjust the speed of your fans, while connecting them directly the the PSU (or to the motherboard) will not.

    I'd call this pretty reliable

Sadly, I've gone months without a restart.

Good choice. Let us know what you decide.

    My situation (MBP/MP or Hack)

Here's my take: -If you want a laptop because you need portability, buy an Apple laptop. I personally don't believe hackintosh laptops are worth it. -If you want a powerful stationary machine, build a hackintosh. You'll get so much more for you money, you'll learn a lot in the process, and...

Customising CUSTOMBEAST - change the DSDT?

Do us all (and yourself) a favor and add all of your specs to your signature. :) Also, why not update BIOS to F12? Most of the new DSDT edits have been added to the latest BIOS versions, which in your case is F12.

    Don't sleep alone !

I know that this thread is older and that you solved your auto-sleep by using pleasesleep, but was wondering what you did to solve the system waking up by itself?

    [solved!!]Whats wrong with this build?

Re: Whats wrong with this build? Do you have any peripherals plugged in? Using the correct SATA ports? Tried different USB ports on the back of the motherboard?

Well Boys... How am I looking? Build Specs for Photography

You have to consider a few things: Firstly, some of the parts you buy can be repurposed in the future, such as the PSU, HDDs, DVD, Case, KB, Mouse, Monitor. So, in the future, if you want to upgrade your build, you could likely just swap the motherboard, CPU, GPU, and possibly RAM. This isn't...

    Vendetta's G5 Build (In Progress)

To clarify, I wasn't worried about the permanence of soldering the OCZ psu. Heck, I've already destroyed the housing it came in, so that's of no concern, especially because, as you said, they come relatively cheap. What I was referring to was the permenence of soldering the PSU directly to the...

    Vendetta's G5 Build (In Progress)

Thanks, I like it too. I think it fits the aesthetic the best of the controllers I've seen, and since it's 3.5", I'll be able to utilize it in the HDD rack. :D It's a Scythe Q8 3.5". Thanks for your comments and questions. Understandable about being unsure of having the old logic board...

Re: first build ever - Hackintosh or otherwise No need to join (although not a problem if you did). Just watch that main page as well as the section on the right titled "Popular Deals". It's essentially a forum where people post really good deals they find, which could be for anything...

Calling All Diablo III Players - Share Benchmarks/Experience

I don't know if you saw my second post, or if it will even help you, but did you try the vertical sync option? To the others, I'm actually pretty impressed. Seems like some of you are getting great results with even the 5xxx ATI cards, which is impressive.

Calling All Diablo III Players - Share Benchmarks/Experience

Re: Calling All Diablo III Players Just playing some more and messing about with settings. I thought I'd note my findings. It seems the jittering I'm seeing is related to framerate, and it being too high for my monitor. I've enabled the vertical sync and it's much more fluid and all around...
