Sorry about the iojones. Im just curios and wanted to try it :D Im not a huge fan of messing around with DSDT's so I thought if this works, it will make future installations a bit simpler. I've attached another iojones file hopefully this time I did it correctly
I did what you said, however I do not get HDMI audio. Firstly I am not sure about one thing - do I need an unedited DSDT in extra folder or can I just remove it since I only use it for HDMI audio edits.
I am AsRock z77 Pro4-M with modified bios v1.60 with i5 3570k as the processor. My graphics...
If you require edited kext for Sapphire Radeon HD 6870, message me. From what I know, these edits will only work for Sapphire 6870 and not other manufacturers
I just realised that in system info it shows HD400 768MB. Shouldn't it be 512MB? I've uploaded the dsdt and ioreg. HDMI audio works.
---------------- EDIT ----------------
Fixed the 1080p problem! :D
Solution
- Before changing to 1080p, slide the underscan slider all the way to the right and...
OK Thanks, now HDMI audio working however I still cannot get 1080p to work even after applying 1080p. Not having 1080p is the only reason I do not use hd4000 so if I could fix it, I wouldn't have to hassle with 6870
HDMI audio doesn't seem to be working with HD4000. I created another dsdt which was just a clean dsdt with clean compile patch and a3 patch however I made it when booted into hd4000 and I can boot without dsdt=null however hdmi audio doesn't work. HD4000 seems to be fully recognised as I see...
Now Im having a weird glitch which I think is Graphics Card related. When I install any application, the next time I boot, I get stuck at the spinning apple logo and then I still haven't figured out how to solve it. The weird thing is that it boots using hd4000 but not with 6870. Also, quicktime...
Thats weird because I remember that once I got 10.8.4 fully working, it used to actually automatically switch from front headphone jack to hdmi audio and vice versa. And then I tried doing some testing with different DSDT's and it stopped. And now I cannot get it to work. Thanks for the tip...
Do you know if it is possible so that the audio output automatically changes to the front audio of pc when headphones are plugged in. This is because mainly I use HDMI audio through my screen which is a tv but sometimes I also plug headphones (fron of case) and I have to manually switch settings...
OK Thanks Im not really going to use hd4000 so I'll just stay as I am right now. I want to try out Clover bootloader so do you know how I can change from Chimera which I'm on right now to Clover?
Do you know why sleep stopped working? And is the new dsdt fine ?
