Well after 8 attempts of making a USB drive no different to the first, this time it decided to work! after 42,000 lines of errors in the installer log the progress bar decided to move until completion! I'm now sitting on the desktop about to continue with installation. incase it's of any use...

its the same issue as the OP, exactly the same issue so thought if the OP shares information then it would be more useful to others as one lump. It doesn't hang during boot to installer, it hangs during installation as per OP, displaying the same information in the installer log then finally...

Hello, did you manage to fix this? I have made 5 USB installers and all do exactly the same thing as yours. My build is super simple and I've used it since lion no problem until now. please let me know if you find anything as there's nothing on big list of solutions about it that I can see

bit of an old update, but whilst i was logged in i thought id feedback. This issue is easily rectified by disabling onboard graphics. when updating OSX you have to use onboard, install nvidia drivers then switch it off

is no one else having this issue? it can't just be us 2?

I've tried both ways, I've just updated to 10.9.3 today and got the new drivers and still have the same issue. it boots fine from iGFX but plugged into the PCIX GFX. If i boot from PCIX GFX it just keeps spinning and spinning. I've tried disabling the iGFX and its no better. I don't know what...

My 760 did but I know that the 780 ti still doesn't have native support, maybe 10.9.3 will give native support for that. But the thing is it still worked before and nothing was changed. I just don't know what's wrong :-S maybe the update will help fix it as it doesn't look like that's far away...

Infact having tried your setup, I'm having exactly the same issue. if anyone can help or offer some advice fire away! so far I have completely reinstalled chimera etc via multi beast, reset the bios, tried with nv_disable=1, PCIRootUID=1/0, GraphicsEnabler=No/Yes

I'm currently experiencing something similar on a build that has worked for quite some time. I can't get it to boot with the 780 Ti, but it allows me to switch the cable round and it works fine. I've tried reinstalling chimera and all my settings but can't get it to do nothing at the moment...

On a side note, anyone know how to get About This Mac to display the correct CPU clock speed? its showing 4.3 and its 4.7 Cheers :-)
