I notice another post about clicking the "Free" button in the iTunes store. This does indeed work. If you click the big VLC icon in the iTunes store you get the message "VLC is not available in the UK iTunes store"... but if you click the +Free button below the icon it will download.

If you didn't get the RAM speed to display correctly try upgrading the BIOS after downloading from the Gigabyte website. I think (though my memory is fuzzy) this is how I fixed this problem. I am now running BIOS F9. The board shipped with F4.

Prior to setting GraphicsEnabler=n the machine simply wouldn't boot unless I pulled the GT640 out of the motherboard. This setting is changed using Multibeast. There's a submenu called "Customisations". See picture attached (if I can work out how to attached images to posts!)
