You need to get your ethernet working regardless of whether you use it or not. Check system preferences and delete the ethernet if it is there. Try re-adding it with the '+' button and if it doesn't show up then it isn't configured correctly. I don't fully understand why the app store requires...

What about a memory profile setting. My RAM defaults to 1333GHz but if I select profile 1 it goes to 1600GHz. The system runs fine at this setting and I get a better geekbench score. Is this something you recommend or not?

I'm very new to this, but I would suggest installing the Fake SMC option in multibeast. I have the same Mobo as you and needed to do this in order to boot without the flash drive bootloader. Hope this helps. Still don't have audio working.
