Had the same problem - installed the old 10.6.2 kext (AppleHDA rollback I believe) and ensured I removed the current kext. Repaired kext cache and permissions / restart and all it sweet :)

Hey guys, I've been testing this out for a while since I've had the Lion GM and it seems when I start the machine there is around a minute delay upon loading the desktop before the Ethernet starts to work. Tested with both the standard lion driver and the Lnx2Mac driver. It's not a huge issue...

Are you running lion? Did you previously have the snow leopard voodoohda kexts and it was working?

Heres my setup with dual screens, latest Tonymac Nvidia/CUDA, on MacPro3,1 with a MSI Hawk 460GTX -i7 but not sandy bridge.

Don't get too excited. Those drivers only allow for stereo output (as opposed to 5.1) - no microphone functionality either.

sorry you misunderstood me. I mean the difference between the driver/setup or how it is installed to bring about that huge performance leap.

@Psyk - I have the MSI 460GTX Hawk too and after installing the Tonymac nvidia drivers - mac pro 10,3 or 10,5 it works a treat! No need for NVenabler running 10.6.7. i find the 10,3 gives the best performance - and i use wallsaver to keep from KP's.. I'm not a sandy bridge though i'm wondering...

Great to hear!!! if you get the fermi freeze don't forget to use the Wallsaver app and keep it working. Lion apparently brings Fermi support so hang out for that :)
