Fixed it, saw that the Azalia codec was disabled in bio setup. I Enabled and all worked as expected.

bah! no dice... I left it off for about 5, unplugged both the tower power as well as speaker power. Started it back up, plugged speaker in during boot and fail :( Maybe I'll have to do all the steps over again.

i followed all the steps, got "Audio ID: 889" to show up in my system report. The problem I ma having is I cannot get an output device to show. I've tried the unplug, boot, plug method to no avail. Do some speakers just not work? Is there something else I can check with regards to output...

i just rotated the pump 90 degrees and ensured a good attachment. Fired it back up along with with another movie conversion and I now max out at 40 C :) When I took the pump off I noticed very little paste transferred to the CPU therefore bad contact.

ok, so this qualifies as a problem. just completed my build the other day, first time using a liquid cooler so hopefully i didn't do something wrong.
