    I think i will postpone buying a nuc5, if this nuc7 make sit possible to swap the wifi card that will be a very intresting machine.

    I had the same error this weekend while trying to install (embios error), also by using a dmg restored to an usb drive. going to use the official retail disc tonight, just bought a sata dvd drive for only this purpose. i guess it's because of the usb thing or something :crazy:

    Flatfoot, have you considered overclocking on your rig? i have the same cpu cooler, thinking about it. Should be able to get the cpu to 3 GHZ with this cooler.

    I know that ide drives are shite with osx install, it needs to be a sata. I dint' have a sata drive, so i used an dmg instead of my SL disk Just bought a sata dvd drive during my lunch break, will test that tonight.

    That's great news Tony, that would be the best solution. Even better, if you would be able to create an iboot installer, so that we can integrate this with a snow leopard retail install disk restored to an usb drive! I gues I'll wait a little bit longer, instead of installing a cdrom.
