Update to 10.15.1 without issue. Since the first post I have also added a Kernel Patch to the config.plist - to overcome a KP on wake issue caused by AppleALC in Catalina with some Haswell systems. Issue is discussed here.

Just confirming that the clover rev 5045 is working fine. Also with updated kexts Catalina Public Beta runs fine too. Note though, I am using the previous version of the guide for this laptop as I saw no reason for me to change, so I am using the version that utilises FakeSMC.

Your voodoo synaptics kext is not loaded. Take a look at my post here to get an idea on edits you might need to make to the synaptics kext to make it load.

Yes, I have done TMDS to HDMI breakout board modifications and there is no reason I can see why you should not be successful. The biggest challenge with these type of mods is usually the wiring and actually fitting everything into the case. Good luck!

If you can boot your installation from USB ( under UEFI ) but you cannot install clover onto your hard disk then it sounds like you have a formatting issue ( maybe clover is failing because it cannot install to EFI ). Maybe best to read the dual booting guides and start again.
