Hi there, I never got it working and thus switched to a multi-drive USB3-enclosure. Works fine, but now I‘m thinking about putting together a Linux/FreeNAS box and attaching it via 10GbE. Safer than my software RAID configuration and potentially faster, too.

A quick update: Just upgraded my HTPC to Mojave ("replacing" the HD3000 with an MSI GT 710). The first solution from BreBo's post didn't work anymore, so I tried the second one – and it worked perfectly.

Hi TonyMac, MacMan and everybody else, the DSDT mentioned in the title downloads as a 308Byte file instead of ~18KB. It would be awesome if someone could fix that! :thumbup: flatfoot

My main machine uses the NEC/Renesas chipset, my HTPC the Etron EJ168. The former works with PXHCD.kext, the latter with the newer two-kext solution. No idea why exactly that is. I wouldn't say MultiBeast is hit-and-miss in general; people just have to do some research which chipsets are used...

A new firmware for the NEC/Renesas USB 3.0 uPD720200 has been issued since thelostswede started this thread. The update went flawlessly on my GA-P55-USB3. Use as described in said first post.

Click "Resources" at the top of this page, then "DSDT". On the following page navigate to your board and bios version: Gigabyte->Socket 1156->P55->GA-P55-UD3R->F8

Update your BIOS to F8 and use the corresponding DSDT from the database. ;-)
