Need help getting HighPoint RocketRAID 644L to work

Hi there, I never got it working and thus switched to a multi-drive USB3-enclosure. Works fine, but now I‘m thinking about putting together a Linux/FreeNAS box and attaching it via 10GbE. Safer than my software RAID configuration and potentially faster, too.

<< Solved >> Secondary internal HDD (HFS+) not recognised by macOS

A quick update: Just upgraded my HTPC to Mojave ("replacing" the HD3000 with an MSI GT 710). The first solution from BreBo's post didn't work anymore, so I tried the second one – and it worked perfectly.

    AppleHDA HDMI Audio [Guide]

Hey toleda, thanks for shoving me in the right direction. Using AppleALC, WhateverGreen and Lilu, I got HDMI Audio to work thanks to one of your posts over at Insanelymac.com. I set the Audio_ID to 3 and – boom – HDMI audio is working now. Onboard audio isn't, but I don't need that, so I won't...

<< Solved >> Secondary internal HDD (HFS+) not recognised by macOS

Hi there, I just managed to upgrade my old HTPC to High Sierra (no Mojave due to Intel HD 3000). There's just one problem: My secondary internal data drive (2TB Seagate HDD) isn't recognised at the desktop. Instead, I get an alert after a few seconds that asks me to eject or initialise the...

    AppleHDA HDMI Audio [Guide]

Hi there, I'm at a loss right now, trying to get HDMI audio to work again after upgrading my HTPC to High Sierra (Mojave not possible due to HD 3000 graphics). CPU/GPU: i3-2105 w/ Intel HD 3000 graphics When I try to run the audio_cloverHDMI script (also older versions), this is the output I...

    Marvell 88SE9230 RAID Support

Thanks for this write-up. I've been looking for a compatible eSATA card since I couldn't get the RocketRAID 644L I bought, which was supposed to be compatible, to work. I just ordered a card that uses the same chipset as yours. To answer your question: You can't do that from within macOS. You...

Need help getting HighPoint RocketRAID 644L to work

Hi everybody, I haven't posted in years, but I could really need some help right now. Now that my trusted RocketRAID 2314 eSATA-card isn't supported any longer (used the Mavericks RR kexts in El Capitan), I need a replacement for it, i.e. a port multiplier ready eSATA card. According to the...

Corrupted DSDT in database – GA-H61M-D2H-USB3-F6

I triple-checked: It's not my internet connection and not my computer(s). Seems to be an upload error. I'd really love to see this fixed so I can use a DSDT that matches my mobo's BIOS.

Corrupted DSDT in database – GA-H61M-D2H-USB3-F6

Hi TonyMac, MacMan and everybody else, the DSDT mentioned in the title downloads as a 308Byte file instead of ~18KB. It would be awesome if someone could fix that! flatfoot

NEC/Renesas USB 3.0 firmware upgrade for DOS

My main machine uses the NEC/Renesas chipset, my HTPC the Etron EJ168. The former works with PXHCD.kext, the latter with the newer two-kext solution. No idea why exactly that is. I wouldn't say MultiBeast is hit-and-miss in general; people just have to do some research which chipsets are used...
