Hello all, Now that I see more people have done this I will pose the question. Does anyone live in the Los Angeles area? I was never able to get the hinge covers back on correctly and they cause the bottom of the bezel to bulge. If there is anyone able to lend a hand I sure would appreciate...

OK. I figured out the black screen. Replace the dsdt silly. But these hinge covers...UGH.

OMG. These hinge covers. I can't get the bezel back on properly. When I took the bezel off I just maneuvered it around them but now trying to get it back on I just can't get it flush properly. Is there some trick to this? The youtube video clearly glosses over this painful step. Everything else...

My screen should show up today and my cable tomorrow. Merry xmas to me this weekend! So nice that we will have higher res screens than you can get from Apple themselves. :)

1080p success is great. Just placed my order for 1080p matte screen and the hd+ cable. So hoping I get them by end of the week!! Also hoping I don't bork the install! Anyone in the Los Angeles area doing this? ;) Mike

I so desperately want to do this. A 1920x1080 screen is my holy grail. This and trouble-free 8gb memory would make this probook complete. Boy do we need a rockstar howto for this and I am sure we will then all plunk down some minor cash to get this done. Looking forward to some success stories...

I took the plunge and overnighted one. It's sitting right in front of me now!! Now need to figure out how to do blueking guide for dual boot and retaining quickweb. I like that for my wife. Don't want her touching a real OS like hackintosh. ;)
