    [SUCCESS] [GA-Z77X-UP5-TH] Yosemite with Clover

Wow, that script is amazing. Thanks for sharing and big props to everyone who took the time to put all that together. I assume its fine for El Capitan too?

    Sliding Motherboard tray ideas

Thanks Neil, The release latches are something I didn't think about at all so good one for pointing that out! I've actually ordered a pair of the soft close runners as I think push to open will likely cause more trouble than its worth. (I'm bound to accidentally release the tray and damage my...

    Sliding Motherboard tray ideas

Hi all, so I'm thinking about a G5 Mod with a sliding motherboard tray. The idea is to use a Lian Li PC-60 tray with a pair of 'full extension' drawer runners mounted behind the motherboard tray. I know Neilhart did something similar to this with one of his mods, and I wondered if he or anyone...

Guide for GA-Z77X-UP5-TH/ i5-3570K/HD4000 YOSEMITE install with Clover

Hey onamission nice guide. :) I too have been trying to get my head fully around Clover and the settings for the Z77X-UP5 TH so this is real handy. There's another thread here on Tonymac about the UP5 and Clover which may be of interest too you. I'm trying to figure out exactly what is...

    [SUCCESS] [GA-Z77X-UP5-TH] Yosemite with Clover

Thanks for the info. I'll have a look at the Intel Power gadget shortly. In Hardware Monitor for me the 4 CPU Core outputs all show as either x16 or x35. The CPU Package Average in HM looks a lot more like you described (gentle changes to the speed -eg: 3.19 > 3.24 > 3.30 Ghz). My CPU never...

    [SUCCESS] [GA-Z77X-UP5-TH] Yosemite with Clover

Huge thanks everyone, I now have a working Yosemite system, yay! @jk2309 - I do have a couple of other question if you're not sick of me already! :) - Are you using an SSDT? I had a quick play around with this last night: Generated an ssdt.aml using SSDTPRgen and placed it in...

    [SUCCESS] [GA-Z77X-UP5-TH] Yosemite with Clover

So I'm following Tonymacs clover guide whilst trying to set up my GA-Z77X-UP5-TH and 3770K based system, same as the original posters. (jk2309) I have a few newbie questions if anyone can help? 1 - Even though I'm going to use the kexts and files provided by jk2309 I still need to use the...

    Anybody with the "Essentials.pkg" Error

So... I've somehow downloaded a copy of the Yosemite installer that doesn't appear to be corrupted! I can mount InstallESD.dmg successfully and Unibeast is currently installing it on my USB drive. I have a subscription to a proxy service so I changed my location to Germany before downloading...

    Anybody with the "Essentials.pkg" Error

Thanks GadgeGuru, I'm slowly pulling my hair out lol. To make matters worse now I can't even seem to create a new Unibeast drive! I'm repeatedly getting the old "error creating Unibeast drive: Couldn't mount Install ESD" message. Based on every reply I've ever seen on the subject it's a...

    Anybody with the "Essentials.pkg" Error

*Sigh* So I got Yosemite up and running on a 128GB SSD and have been happily tweaking things the last few days to get a nice stable system - even got speed-stepping working nicely etc, etc. I then thought well, now I've 'tested' it, its time to do a fresh install on my main 500GB System SSD...

WHY WHY WHY is this happening. Help Please.

Maybe not the answer you're looking for but have you considered a USB audio device at all? I managed to get the onboard audio working on my Hackintosh (Z77X UP5-TH) but it was so crackly and poppy that I bought a cheap USB device instead. A Behringer U-control UCA-222 just in case you're...

    [SUCCESS] [GA-Z77X-UP5-TH] Yosemite with Clover

arehep - Thanks that's really kind of you - thanks. :) I'm probably gonna read up a bit more before I take the plunge with replacing my bios as I'm not totally clear on the whole UEFI business yet. Will look at the tweak town and osmosis 1479 mods you mentioned too and see what they are all...

    [SUCCESS] [GA-Z77X-UP5-TH] Yosemite with Clover

Thanks for this post k2309! I'm going to give this a go tonight (Clover virgin here) as i have the same board, CPU and near-enough the same graphics (GTX 660Ti). Fingers crossed its plain sailing. Just wondered if you might have any Bios config settings to share too? :) I'm going to set to...

    SSDT generation script (Ivybridge PM)

Apologies if I've missed a similar post to this in this thread. Just wondering if it would be worth updating the original post on page 1 to reflect the new method for using ssdtPRGen. I spent a few hours last night hunting around to get the 'latest' build of the script only to find the...

    Anybody with the "Essentials.pkg" Error

So, a new USB did the trick and got rid of the Essentials.pkg error. Still took a few attempts though, as despite not ever showing an error, it seemed to hang at the same point (10-11 mins remaining) even after I left it to do its thing for over 1.5 hours... When I checked the log again there...

[Help request] There was an error creating your UniBeast drive: Couldn't mont Install ESD

Yep I had this problem once with Yosemite and several times with Mavericks. Just re-download the installer and it should hopefully work the next time. No real rhyme or reason to it as far as I could tell, it just works eventually. (Plus many, many GB's of downloading later!)

    Anybody with the "Essentials.pkg" Error

Hehe, thanks for crossed fingers but I'm afraid they didn't help! I'll try my original plan and get a new USB stick in the next day or two. Out of interest the log shows the following: The "archive verify failed" seems to be the main indication of what's causing the problem. I guess it must...

    Anybody with the "Essentials.pkg" Error

Interesting... going to give that a go now with my existing Unibeast USB. Maybe there's something going on with the system becoming idle, trying to sleep or something along those lines... Will report back here shortly!

    Anybody with the "Essentials.pkg" Error

Going to get a brand new USB stick this weekend and give it another go. If I have no luck then I think I'm just going to wait it out a little bit, hopefully a later version of Unibeast will fix things. After all (and I suspect the same may be true for a lot of you) I don't actually need...

    Anybody with the "Essentials.pkg" Error

Hmmm, think I'm going to go out and buy a new stick and try that though I'm not holding out much hope. The one I'm currently using had a Win7 installer on it before I wiped it, and has been used twice to install Windows and that's it. It really shouldn't have reached the end of its lifetime...
