I started bootcamp to guide me through creating a window partition (needed to be able to use a specific CAM app).
After rebooting and going through win10 install process i got to a point where it told me it cannot use the partition to install.
I closed the installer and it reebooted but since...
updated via appstore. didn't update clover initially.
boots but the desktop looks like it's a solarized effect - can't distinguish the menu items... :(
If I boot by setting nvidia to vesa it works with the right colors but acts as it's having 500kb of ram :) flikery (is that a word?)
Anyways...
I'm in the same situation. Can't create the usb drive (16GB)
I followed the instructions correctly and I tried 3 different ports (back and front)
A new version of El Capitan showed-up since I started my struggle...
Currently on Yosemite

Make your mac show hidden files
copy the contents of the 'extra' folder in iboot disk on your 'extra' folder on the mac installation. Don't overwrite the plist file there, but append what's missing from the plist file on the iboot disk.

But then, why does iBoot boots the OS X just fine and Chameleon?!? not...
My guess is they differ in the contents of the initial (read default or generic) drivers.
Mine is the on-board one... intel GMA 3000
