    Warning those with ASUS P9X79

You'll need the KEXT I shared earlier always (at least at this point). I haven't installed my system since before MultiBeast 5 came out so the settings I used to get it running are a bit different when selected through MultiBeast 5 BUT I would try the following: No DSDT Audio: Realtek ALC...

    Warning those with ASUS P9X79

Well, I don't think I have any USB3 devices to test with but I am finding that USB2 ones (iPhone, iPad) don't seem to work with the USB3 ports.

    P9X79 pro bios 2002

Fix permissions with Kext utility and rebuild cache and/or use the "ignore caches" option in Chameleon when booting up (-f option) the first time.

    Warning those with ASUS P9X79

Turns out the fix is an easy one. Thanks to those who have posted similar problems, I now know to put VoodooTSCSync.kext in the /S/L/E folder or /E/E folder and rebuild the cache. Just posting here to help anyone else with similar problems.

10.7 or 10.8 on Rampage IV Extreme with new 2002/2003 BIOS

Let me know if you find said rollback procedure because I cannot find a way to get to the 12xx BIOS through "legit" means. If you switch to single core / no hyperthreading in the BIOS, you can at least boot up again but at extreme loss of speed.

    P9X79 pro bios 2002

Wow, I just made the same mistake on Thursday. I feel your pain. My config is almost identical to yours and I didn't >need< the new BIOS so it was listed as compatibility and performance enhancing so I did it anyway. Like you said, single core works but isn't pretty.

    Warning those with ASUS P9X79

i had a working ML install for about 3 weeks now. No issues. Like an idiot, I updated my firmware to the new version that just came out this week (2002) and now I can't boot ML or even Lion unless I go down to 1 core and no hyperthreading. Unfortunately, this was a one-way upgrade (no...

    techieinhell's Build - Core i7 3820/Asus P9X79/8GB RAM/GT520

On my P9X79 Pro, I don't have any Firewire ports. However, on other Asus installations I've done that do have these ports, I didn't have any trouble getting it to work without any additional modifications.

[Lion] Adobe Flash crashes in Firefox and Safari

Well, the only things that I have graphics related are: <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1200x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>darkwake=0</string> Of course, the last one isn't really graphics related except that I took out...

[Lion] Adobe Flash crashes in Firefox and Safari

I removed the PCIUIDRoot=1 line to make MultiBeast work. The only line in my "Kernel Flags" section is the "darkwake = 0" setting. When I had the root = 1, I too was stuck with 1024x768 resolution. See if that helps and let us know!

[Lion] Adobe Flash crashes in Firefox and Safari

Just wanted to confirm what the last post said is also a problem for me. My Nvidia 470 went south and I had to revert to my older 8800 GTS. Lion 10.7.3 with latest Safari update from last week can't display any Flash pages in Safari. Unlike some others, Firefox DOES work for me. Also tried...

    [Solved] P8P67+ATI 5870+2600K+Playing video = freeze

Re: P8P67+ATI 5870+2600K+Playing video = freeze I have a P8P67+ATI 5870+2600K as well and Zonalis worked for me. Uakari did not and I didn't try Hoolock (no need since Zonalis worked first). Just FYI.

    Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000

I've never been able to get it to work and I've read lots of forum posts here and elsewhere stating that it probably never will. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but your best bet might be to get a USB wifi chip (these are about the size of a dime sticking out from your USB port) which is the...

Mac OS X 10.6.7 Early 2011 MacBook Pro Sandy Bridge Update

My sound is working fine but I do here a "pop" when the speaker is used for the first time in a few minutes. This pop even occurs if something attempts to use the speaker but it is muted (for example, new mail notification from Outlook while speakers are muted through the OS). The popping...

Mac OS X 10.6.7 Early 2011 MacBook Pro Sandy Bridge Update

I had the exact same problem until I installed the Chameleon from Multibeast specifically for SandyBridge (I think its 709). That worked where 748 and 750 did not. Now I'm happily using my GA-P67A-UD7 with an i7 2600 (can't get above 32 on the ratio, however).

No sound GA-P55A-UD3 ..also how to remove voodoo prefane?

Same motherboard, same problem here. Voodoo for me also is worse sounding (with 10.6.6 at least) than having no sound a all. You can remove the PrefPane by deleting the file from ~/Library/PreferencePanes/ (~ is your home directory) or /Library/PreferencePanes/ (off the root of your boot...

New Unified Realtek Onboard Audio Solution: ALC8xxHDA

Unfortunately, I have the same board and have never been able to get this to work either. Followed the instructions to a T and even started from scratch with a fresh SL install.
