6G SATA Bootable (with Boot Camp too) with 2 SSD Mounts on one card - NOT Sonnet Tempo or Apricorn X

Just curious how you setup the hardware RAID volumes on this on a Mac Pro if the BIOS setup screens are unavailable. Also, I'm wondering if the BIOS can be disabled so you can just use this card as a standard 4 port host controller.

Sorting Out the Real Hardware Specs of the New 2013 Mac Pro

I think the graphics cards are just W9000 6gb workstation class cards (very expensive). Apple probably contracted a board maker to lay it out and use a pci-e connector on the end. They've truly taken the macpro and made it something only a professional would buy..e.g..the prosumer/gamer...

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 U1H Bios

I wonder if GB is actually putting any effort into fixing the UEFI issues or if U1H is it for this board. They are obviously not selling them anymore, I mean what's in it for them right? Kinda sad.

Nvidia Releases Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Graphics Drivers

Article: Nvidia Releases Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Graphics Drivers I've only done some limited testing, but these drivers appear to have resolved my micro-stutter issues in Guild Wars 2 and my GTX670. There was no miracle increase in fps, but everything does seem smoother in game.

    [Success] Guide: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 (EUFI)

This actually turned out to be a really good tip - thanks. You don't need the IMac12,2 smbios, you can do this for any model identifier I think. I did it for my MacPro5,1 smbios - you just need to edit the appropriate plist in that directory. Just cut and past the "Data" portion of whats...

Z68X-UD3H-B3 latest DSDT - wake issues (Partial Solution)

Becuase the hardware works as expected when booted into Windows 7 that has me thinking this is more a BIOS/hw initialization issue...but who knows. I almost returned the board for a z77 UD5 but rembered I got it on sale for $75 so I'm just going to live with it !

Z68X-UD3H-B3 latest DSDT - wake issues (Partial Solution)

I do have this issue with my AAK and mouse and my rev 1.3 board and 10.7.4/10.8. I have my internal ethernet disabled. I use a genuine apple airport extreem card mounted to a PCIe carrier for my network access. The USB issue annoying but manageble. I either have to a.) wake from the power...

New Gigabyte Z68 UEFI BIOS Betas Released!

what i've noticed with bdmesg is that it will report correct p-state table creation, but when you use something like MSRDumper or HWMonitor, you'll see that only a couple are being used (when over clocking)

    10.8 + Sandy Bridge + SSDT + SpeedStep

"copy all aml files to flash disk with Clover." What is this and why are you doing it? Are you suggesting to create a DSDT and SSDT from a dump in windows and use it with a boot loader?

    Dual/Multi Booting - Mountain Lion

Format your target Windows 7 drive as MBR. Disconnect all internal drives accept the one you are going to install on and your DVD. Install Windows 7 as normal. Reconnect your boot drive that has Chimera on it and set it as the first drive to boot. It will automatically see your Windows 7...

    GA-Z68XP-UD3 New UEFI bios

Well if your whole question is when/if he is going to get around to rolling you a dsdt, why not just send him a forum PM? My point is the whole UEFI bios thing for z68 boards is still pretty new and most of them (beta or not) have the same issues like your experiancing.

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 U1H Bios

Confirming this approach can be used to go higher as well. I used a SSDT for 4.5 ghz and set the Clock Ratio to 45 and Turbo to 45/45/44/45 which gives me a 4.4ghz OC on my 2700k. Still only 2 p-states with my setup, 16x and 44x. Strangely MSReporter shows the occational 45x p-state, but...

[GUIDE] Overclock with Z68/Z77, Power Management, SSDT Edits

The low performance with your ATI card after sleep can be fixed by using a smbios with MacPro5,1 and I "think" a couple of others. There is some powermgt features in the radeon 6000 drivers that need to interact with AppleGraphisPowerMgt. At least thats how I solved the same issue on my box...

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 U1H Bios

Thanks for posting your smbios. I tried it and did indeed see more p-states, however it didn't do anything for my AA keyboard going away after resume. Still have to unplug/replug. Haven't seen popping audio on this board. I suggest reloading the Non-DSDT HDAEnabler for 889 and the patched...

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 U1H Bios

Well, I was curious myself so I installed it on a separate drive. Basically runs fine and geekbench shows pretty much identical scores as with Lion. All the same small issues remain. Only 2 p-states (with MacPro5,1 smbios); You can't OC; and Apple Aluminum kb/mouse will not resume from sleep...

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 U1H Bios

Bought a SSD for my boot drive and reinstalled last night. I've been able to get the MacPro3,1 smbios to work (the one that comes with MB) with sleep and the 6870. Sleep doesn't happen instantly in this configuration - it takes about 5 seconds to enter sleep which is ok I guess. All the...
