    How to Fix iMessage

Here's the output, as requested. Windows 8.1 is installed in legacy mode, or I wouldn't have it working at all, as chameleon/chimera doesn't like UEFI windows. /dev/disk0 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme...

    How to Fix iMessage

Well I tried resetting FileNVRAM, but for whatever reason I'm not finding any nvram.uuid.plist's. Anywhere. Is it a hidden file?

    How to Fix iMessage

Sounded as though you were suggesting that in your post. Yes, I have a UEFI board. I'm using a Gigabyte G.1 Sniper Z5S on the latest BIOS update. Have a i5-4670K powering it, and Gigabyte GTX 970 driving both of my displays too.

    How to Fix iMessage

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll definitely try it out if I can't get clover to work/don't like it.

    How to Fix iMessage

I'm not looking to re-install my OS's. It would take me much too long to get everything back to how I have it currently. Is there any way I can update just the bootloader? I've seen little snippets of info in posts on here, but nothing that looked like it would help. I have plenty of drives I...

    How to Fix iMessage

Not quite the help I was looking for. Changing to clover won't be easy for me, as I run a Windows 8.1 and Yosemite dual-boot on a single drive. If you'd like to give me some pointers, I'm open for them.

    How to Fix iMessage

Hello Jaymonkey. I've followed your guide up to this point, and have updated Chameleon to the latest version using Chameleon Wizard, installed fileNVRAM in /Extra/modules (don't know if it is functioning correctly or not), and ran iMessage debug. The debug returned this: Model...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.1 (343.01.02)

I can't confirm or deny that the drivers work with the 960's, although my guess is no. They will probably be supported in the future. SLI is not supported in OS X. So unless you're planning on dual booting, there's almost no point for that second 960. It's always best to purchase one of the...

    Lenovo Ideapad U430 - Mavericks

Oh lovely. Guess I won't be considering the U530 anymore. I received the SSD as a Christmas gift actually, so the theoretical cost of it to me would still be the base $800. But I understand that it would still have much lower resale value than the Air. Even my current desktop would have a lower...

    Lenovo Ideapad U430 - Mavericks

I presumed that the "It works sometimes after sleep/wake cycle." statement meant that it worked fine until after a sleep/wake cycle, and that the "Headphone problems are common." statement regarded unified jacks in general. Not quite. http://amzn.com/B00I93CDP0 The graphics aren't too...

    Lenovo Ideapad U430 - Mavericks

Agreed. Any suggestions on where to start? Not trying to be lazy, it's just that none of my searches have been turning up anything relevant. Guess I should have chosen better words than that. Correction: Better specs for a better price. I'm not a fan of spending over $1k to get the i7 and 8GB...

    Lenovo Ideapad U430 - Mavericks

Hmm... I almost never let my computer sleep. It's always either on or off. So theoretically it would be fine...? I was considering the air for a while, but I would much rather have the higher specs of a windows machine. I plan on using programs such as Logic Pro and PhotoShop, and I tend to...

    Lenovo Ideapad U430 - Mavericks

I assume that means it's not working at all then. It's pretty important to me, so I think I'll pass on the U530 for now. Do all combo jacks have this problem?

    Lenovo Ideapad U430 - Mavericks

I'm looking at purchasing the Lenovo U530 as a dual-boot hackintosh. After reading up here, it appears that the only problems would be WiFi support and the headphone jack. WiFi can be fixed with a rebranded AR5BHB92. But what about the headphone jack? It's listed as "Not working correctly"...

No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

After messing around in the App Store, trying to get Xcode to actually install, I finally (properly) edited the plist. Audio seems to work beautifully. Haven't tested everything yet, but here are the files anyways. If you can see anything that might cause a future issue with audio, please...

What would you recommend to edit the plist then? Since TextEdit seems to "break" it.

No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Audio controller was set to "Auto" set to "Enabled" and rebooted. Upon rebooting, I still had no audio, but found I had lost Ethernet as well (for who knows what reason). Created yet another Boot.plist to get that functioning again, but I'm still without audio devices. Little has changed...

No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

No audio devices after driver removal on windows side of dual-boot. Note: Rear panel audio. Not HDMI. Replaced old org.chameleon.Boot.plist with new one by Multibeast. Problem persisted. Yosemite 10.10.1 Gigabyte G1. Sniper Z5S F2 BIOS Intel i5-4670K Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 Standard...

No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Just created a brand new plist (again) from multibeast using these options: Did not touch in any way. Still no audio.

No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

How is that possible if every other option from the plist is working? (Genuinely curious.)
