How do I get my Geekbench multicore scores up to 25,000 as it used to be? What BIOS settings must be changed? I was getting better scores on with the i7-13700K than with the i9-13900K. I have tried every setting conceivable.
I have been having the same problem with Premiere Pro. I am on Sonoma, and the trouble did not start until I updated. Adobe is recommending staying with Ventura until Premier Pro and After effects are fully compatible. Adobe indicates that Photoshop is fully compatible. Turn off Use Graphics...
I have sleep working perfectly on my z690 Aero G, DDR4 (96GB), i7-13700KF, RX 6900 XT, F24 BIOS. The i9 kills sleep after 1 cycle no matter what I do. So I’m selling the i9. F25 destroyed sleep so I am sticking with F24. I will attach my EFI when I get home later.
Following beelzebozo's post...
F27 destroyed sleep on my z690 Aero G. No matter what I tried, it just would not work. I went back to F26, and sleep was still broken even though I had a virtually perfect running Mac before. After all sorts of playing with settings, I now have sleep working perfectly again. I think I just...
Given the situation with Broadcom, I switched to the intel BT/WF module. I can connect my apple magic keyboard and track pad with no problem but my MX Master 3 is identified but it will not connect. I've tried everything that Logitech instructs one to do to no avail. Also, my Bose BT headsets...
Installed Sonoma with no issue. Followed the install guide and now have intel BT/wi-fi working and stable. My Broadcom Bluetooth was playing havoc since Ventura and impossible on Sonoma. Switched to intel and surprised how stable my connection is now! thanks for the guide or I would never have...
Before I take a plunge and go back to my z690 Aero G, i7-13700 and sell the z790, i9-13900 K, can anyone get sleep to work correctly? The z690 is perfect, the z790 sleeps once then the second time black screen but won’t sleep or wake up screen. Both machines use Ventura 13.5 and latest BIOS.
Processor should be Intel i9-1300K. Using shared configure is fine with Ventura. I also get a message that memory is not configured properly.
THIS WILL FIX Everything: keepsyms=1 agdpmod=pikera -wegnoigpu e1000=0 -ctrsmt alcid=2 revpatch=auto,sbvmm -revbeta
Hi CaseySJ,
So I had the CPU info showing up correctly until i installed the security update 13.4.1 (c). I made no changes to the config file and checked to see if all was Kosher and it is. Any thoughts?
It does work but the actual problem was I had Restrict Events unchecked and when I checked it it still did not work because revcpuname was set to data, not string then I changed Processor type to 0. When I changed it to 3841 all worked. A bunch of stupid mistakes on my part.
CaseySJ, that did the trick. I built my .92 efi and config from scratch for the first time. It was a learning process to say the least but now I know how to do it.
For some reason I can't get the name of the processor on Mac Info. I have attached my config file. If someone can look at it to see what I am doing wrong I will appreciate it. MB: z790 Aero G, i9-13900KF.
I did try it but sleep is still bad. Thanks for for trying.
I'm finding out a lot about the i9-13900K. You really need to limit the power ceiling in BIOS. Without a limit, it hits 300 watts and 100 degrees using the intel gadget to monitor. I limited PPL1 and 2 to 200 watts. No effect on...
