Thanks. I'll try that. My 240M is natively detected so its confusing.
PCIRootUID=0 by itself worked!!!! Thank you!!!! I swear I tried this by itself before....
Hello, I cannot find anyone who has gotten around this yet.
I have a Lenovo Y550P and I have a feeling a wide variety of notebooks and desktops alike may experience this.
So, after trying several different USB thumb drives, re-downloading ML from the Mac App Store twice, and trying...
Okay, so here is what happens when I try to install ML with UniBeast.

Select USB HDD from BIOS (F12)
Enter in my flags (I've tried numerous ones)

Mountain Lion 10.8 UniBeast black screen installation - YouTube
For me, (I've done all the boot flags I can think of), I get a black screen after the grey Apple logo or if I do a Verbose boot. So I just spent $20 on an app icon.
I'm on Lion 10.7.4
i7-820QM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M
Corsair Force 3 480GB SSD
8GB DDR3 1333 RAM
I tried seeing if...
Re: Issues with Lenovo G570 i3 laptop & Lion 10.7.3
You could try adding a fresh 40GB partition and see about getting Lion 10.7.4 with as little kexts as possible to see if you can get it running.
But I'm glad 10.7.3 works
I just received my Broadcom BCM94322MC Mini PCI-e wireless card and installed it.
Here is my installation with captions:
On first boot into Lion 10.7.4, it detected the wireless card and it connected to my network immediately. It just works.
For Windows 7, I plugged in an Ethernet...
Re: Issues with Lenovo G570 i3 laptop & Lion 10.7.3
I'm really glad it works! If it worked right out of the box at 10.7.3 then it may work at 10.7.4 without needing for those Kexts I linked.
I just received my Broadcom BCM94322MC Mini PCI-e wireless card and installed it.

When your OS is crawling, check the processes that run.
You could try doing a disk permissions repair, but I doubt that's the issue.
I really don't have a lot of ideas. You have quite a powerful system both CPU and GPU.
You aren't the only one. For some reason Geekbench and other Mac benchmark programs give varying results.
The best benchmarking application that is consistant is Cinebench which is also out of date.
Remember this: Your video drivers for Mac OS X do perform around 10-20% than on Windows...
Re: Network issue with Lenovo G570 i3 laptop & Lion 10.7.3
Lid sleep is very sketchy on my Y550P. It works about 75% of the time and since I got an SSD, I usually just shut down since booting up is so fast.
But here is what I used on my Lenovo laptop and it works for a variety of systems...
Re: Network issue with Lenovo G570 i3 laptop & Lion 10.7.3
I'll let you know how this 'newer' wireless adapter holds up. They are always a pain in the ass with OS X which just confuses me.
But good luck! Don't let it get too frustrating. I've had to do so many reinstalls/wipes on this laptop...
I want you to boot with GraphicsEnabler=No and see how fast things are.
You will be at a low resolution but things should be nice and snappy.
Please report your findings and we can see what we do from here!
Re: Network issue with Lenovo G570 i3 laptop & Lion 10.7.3
Let me know if you need any kexts for the AR5B93 wireless card.
Now replacing wireless cards is wicked easy. If you've ever replaced your RAM or HDD of your laptop you will be right at home. Now, my laptop, the Lenovo Y550P, would...
Re: An issue with my Lenovo G570 i3 series laptop & Lion 10.7.3
Its probably best to purchase an aftermarket wireless card...
My laptop came with an Intel wireless card that was 100% incompatible. Now, I purchased an Atheros AR5B93 card when Snow Leopard was still the current build and it ran...
