Hey I was on vacation so I haven't had a chance to upgrade I'm on 10.6.7
I downloaded an app from Google I forgot it's name but I think I said it higher up in the post it's suppose to change the kexts so my 32bit will boot in 64bit
It didn't work...
I have an i3 so it's 64bit right
When I...
Hey I've tried installing those Kexts with Kext Helper b7 aswell as Kext Beast
Kext Beast doesn't seem to work
and the Kext Helper always crashes and I have to force quit which then I think deletes any Kexts it might have saved
I've installed 10.6.7 on a partition and I'm going to try and...
Thanks I've tried that one but I drag and drop the files to Kext Helper
but the easy install button doesn't appear, if I click in the password box then enter it does but a couple of seconds later it says my passwords invalid
Help? I don't have a password on my Hackintosh I simply press enter...
Wondering if something like this would work for me too? How/where do I install it?
:)
I've copied the files library -> extensions or something like that
It didn't work
I've also tried both the kext enablers that comes with multibeast
What & where did you guys use to put these files
I might try this
I upgraded from 10.6.7 to Lion skipping 10.6.8 because when I'd tried it before I couldn't get it to work
I'm using Lion now but I have to boot up in safe mode, everything works fine but I have no sound also I can't play games. But the main reason I wanted Mac (iLife) and...
Got my XFX GD 577A ZNFC working with this program
How ever I've installed so much rubbish with Multibeast I've got programs called Vodoo in the Settings folder which I think is stopping my sound from working
Also I can only boot up in Safe mode (-x) I'm going to try a couple more times and...
EDIT: FIXED IT, MY BIOS SETTINGS WERE SET TO DEFULT... SO NOT IN ACHI MODE
MY HACKINTOSH IS WORKING FINE AGAIN BUT UNDER 10.6.7
Hey I currently have 10.6.8 as I was trying to upgrade to Lion but I have the XFX 5770 graphics card it caused many problems
I've used time machine many times...
I know it's not exactcly the same but you said you couldn't get 10.6.8 to work with your graphics card - I'm not on Lion yet as I can only boot up using "PCIRootUID=1 -x" but I'm now running 10.6.8 so looks promising our cards will works with Lion
I have no idea what I've done effectively a...
Hey! Umm that's looks like what my desktop says in Snow Leopard so I could get the graphics card to work with chimera, also how do I install snow leopard in 64 bit as I know mines in 32
I can see tomorrow being a long day say infront of my hackintosh :-P
:-( what about 10.6.8? That sounds exactly like the problem I had when installing the screen would simply go off :-/ I use DVI
Just bought lion and installed it on my MBA Apple says 250 new features... After looking at it not sure it's worth £20.99 anyway
I'll probably stay on Snow Leopard...
:') That could be why I couldn't upgrade to OS 10.6.8 then... Damn :banghead:
Hmm... if it was a toss up between Lion and spending another £100 on a graphics card or keeping Snow Leopard... Think I'd stay with Leopard at least until Christmas
:P I can't upgrade to OSX 10.6.8 either... I've tried like 1000 times with EVERY guide on the internet :wtf: I think it's just me being impatient though... I think I'll try upgrading tomorrow when I have the whole day to play around with it
All I can say is THANK STEVE FOR TIMEMACHINE!!! LOL...
Hey! Great thanks
Had my computer running Mac for a week now, Every-things going great... Only a couple of little things that annoy me namely my DVD players
- My DVD Rewriter works fine, but it will generally not recognise the disk for ages if I open it using the button rather than the eject...
Hey! Finally all up and running... lot's and lot's of trial and error
Upon reflection it is EASY... but I understand why more people would buy a Mac than go through this process
I've just installed iWork and iLife (...Well I already had iLife, thank-you apple for not needing serial codes) But...
Thanks for the replies!
Umm...about the DVD drive, I'm not sure what mine is, but I've given iOS a quick testing upto the install screen... I may even do it all the way later on an old HDD... try getting some of the stuff working.
Because I know I have NO patience... and the guide...

20Mb is the fastest in my area ATM :geek: But a little way down the road they already have 50Mb - Their also upgrading (slowly, very slowly) to 100Mb
=) I've played The Sims 3 (all eps and sps todate... 3 of each) I played it on my families iMac 21.5"... Terrible
It plays a lot better on my older Dell Vostro under Windows, I haven't tried it under bootcamp in a partition
But turning to the darkside full time and building a hackintosh...
