Maybe I missed it, but I've been looking for the exact, or close to, measurements of a PowerMac G5 so that I can try to recreate it in 3D. I would need to know the thickness of the aluminum, the height of the sides, the height and width of the handles etc. The more accurate the info, the better. So please, if anyone of you has an actual case, could you please measure it in centimeters/millimeters and measure as many aspects as possible?

Thanks, but do you know how accurate this is?

Well, thanks for trying to help out.

Your best bet may be to get hold of a G5 case and make some measurements.

You may already know that the G5 case has two major variants:
Models A1047 & A1093 - produced from mid 2003 thru' early 2005
Model A1177 - late 2005 and on.

The G5 case shown in the rendering of the 3D model (Jeffinslaw's post) is most likely for the A1177 - 2 Ethernet RJ45 ports (top) and 3 USB ports (bottom) of the IO shield.

The earlier A1047/A1093 cases have 1 Ethernet RJ45 port and below that a Modem RJ11 port located at the bottom of the IO shield.

Others on this forum may have more precise details about the different cases.

Here you go, hope they are enough.

my measurements are from my 2004 model :)

Wow, thanks! Also, I was finally lucky enough to pick up a G5 for a good price and it should arrive on Thursday. I plan on getting meticulous and measuring it, posting my measurements to go along with migigenDK's to help out anyone else looking for the info. Funny thing is, I mostly wanted to do this because I couldn't get a G5 or Mac Pro for a reasonable price in good condition.
