how do you enable GTX 970
read this first before you start cuz you'll need some apps to get it going. I have them and can share with you but I don't know if I can share within the site I want to stay within the rules. but they are all online or tony's site.
I had to do a whole new install because of messing with everything so much I ruined my config.plist. so I followed the guide to install Unibeast with El Capitan and I just ran it as is (Some people run the latest clover into usb but I didn't) I installed my video card and had to boot with nv_disable=1 -x -v (on board grfx never worked) installed OS X El capitan after format etc typical install stuff. once on desktop I ran the El capitan "Post Install Tool Kit" along with the older clover then I ran the latest clover r3716 into El capitan HardDrive all default settings. I then put kext beast on desktop along with genericusbxhci.kext and usbincjectall.kext ran kext beast and I installed it to ****/Library/Extensions**** I then ran the latest Cuda drivers and the latest Nvidia web driver (DONT RESTART)
I mounted my Efi compared what was in my clover, kext folders and I left only the "Other" folder if there was anything on my 10.11 folder i copied it to other folder. I deleted everything else (see my Attached Clover and use it lol ;)..)
make your hidden files visible pasted this command inside terminal
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES (then press ENTER) Next hold down Alt key Right click Finder Icon and click relaunch.
Next run Apple Graphics Device Policy Fix (AGDPfix.app)
then run Insanely Repair Permission Script (this is how to run it)
  • place it on ur desktop
  • Open Terminal and type or paste this command (replacing my studio name with your user name)
  • sudo /Users/outlawstudios/Desktop/InsanelyRepairPermission -rt /
I rebooted after this and the graphics were picked up. Notice I never ran Multibeat I only ran it for my audio driver and it still didn't work so i ran an audio script (audio_cloverALC-110_v1.0s10) and audio was good.

Hope this helps you! please try this on a fresh install save your what I went thru literally 1month and a half and I'm a recording studio so imagine how behind i am. Start fresh look for files mentioned above and if you need help let me know. I can look through my history and send you links of exactly the posts i used.

I don't see a lot of people complaining about the squares issue (randomly spread over image) in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Am I the only one experiencing this or are you guys using the adobe apps without GPU or just basic GPU support?
I'd love to keep the osx86 system but it's getting very difficult since I mainly work with adobe apps and on a daily basis.

What is currently the best GPU to use in osx86? if there is even one, without having to use 3rd party drivers like NVidia. A card that works flawlessly OOTB like we used to have.

Thanks

I think only Kepler based nvidia GPUs are working OOB... so 600 and 700 series (with the exception of i THINK the 750 ti which is maxwell)

Hi, I have a problem and I beg your help. I used AGDPfix.v1.3.app and rebooted with args nvda_drv=1, then something strange happened. Here's the picture, the cursor and the command prompt alternately present. how could this happened, it seems the graphic interface has broken, am I right? If I didn't boot with args -v, then it will restart. Do you have any idea about it?

Hi!

I am currently on a working iMac 14,2 system and would like to got to 17,1. What would be the correct order of things?
First, change the system in Multibeast to 17,1 (do not reboot), then apply AGDPfix? Or vice versa?

Or I am missing something?

Thanks a bunch...
