Hey all,
I recently finalized my installation of El Cap on the Dell Inspiron 15 7559 (Dell i7559-2512blk) laptop...
I thought it would be interesting and challenging for me to try to get macOS Sierra on this laptop ...
Luckily, I WAS able to make an installer and pretty much use the same files from my El Cap install, and now I am successfully booted into macOS Sierra. There are a lot of problems with it though, and I am lost at where to start...
The main issue I'm having right at the moment is, where are the boot logs stored!? They're not in system.log OR Console anywhere! (as far as I can tell)
So does anyone know where the boot logs are stored?
Also, another issue I'm having (multiple other people have reported this as well, on Sierra Desktop Support) is that there are a bunch of garbled pixels (black and white and flashing, etc.) in the top left corner of my screen. I have fully accelerated Intel HD Graphics 530 ... I'm assuming this is just a bug with the macOS Sierra PB4 that I'll have to live with, but if anyone else has any ideas / suggestions on solutions please let me know!
I'm looking forward to getting macOS Sierra to work on this!
Thanks all!
