MSI GTX 970
Hi, basically I'm looking at building my first Hackintosh, however I have a few concerns that I was hoping everyone on here may be able to help with.

Firstly I already have a PC with a i7 4790s, MSI GTX 970, 16gb RAM, 2 TB HDD which I will be swapping for an SSD off the compatible list and a Motherboard from my older HP Pavilion Desktop which I will also be swapping out for a recommended one off the list. My first questions comes from this, if I swap the Mobo and Hard Drive will I be good to go if I've already been using the other parts in a PC?

My only other thing with it is that I'm studying animation at Uni so can't really afford to be fixing issues every 5 minutes, obviously I'm more than willing to when they crop up but will the build be stable ish long term (I'm happy to avoid updates)

Thanks for any help in advance.

Why don't you try with your existing motherboard?

Thanks guys, what about the fact my GTX 970 is MSI rather than the recommended Gigabyte?
Would my current Mobo work if its from a pre bui

In most cases, the brand of video card doesn't matter too much.

It's possible that it could work. I have a hackintosh running on a a pre-built HP Elite 8300. Definitely worth a try before spending extra money.
