i successfully installed El Capitan using the standard guide here on the website. everything installed fine. i ran multibeast and configured according to my system. now when i try to start from my ssd, clover goes straight back to my uefi bios (i can briefly see the little cursor icon "_" on screen, then it goes to my uefi bios interface). i installed everything in UEFI mode.
my boot priority is set to "Mac OS X" (that one appeared after my installation was complete), all other options in the boot priority result in "Reboot and select proper boot device".

mainboard/cpu are:

-MB: asus p8p67 m-pro
-i5 2500k

on a side note i installed everything in UEFI mode since i use an UEFI bios. The guide suggested legacy mode for 6er series motherboard (which the p8p67 is) but i went ahead using UEFI mode since i use an UEFI bios. could that be the problem?

does anyone know of that issue or has some idea on how to fix it?

thanks for your time and have a good one!
cheers
tim

could you list all boot options?

sure:
  • "Mac OS X"
  • "P0: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB" (this is the drive OSX is installed on)
  • "P3: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NS70" (my DVD drive)
that's all

you tried booting from P0: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB ?

yes, resulting in "reboot and select proper boot device". i thought there should be a entry called "UEFI: P0: Samsung..." but i figured the "Mac OS X" entry must be that one, just with another name

strange as most do say uefi: ..... which i had to work out when i did mine

you sure you got clover installed uefi option correctly on your hard drive then?

i would reboot with usb and make sure of that (reinstall again) and then copy over your config.plist and kexts etc back to the mounted efi partition on your hard drive

booted back from USB and reinstalled clover using multibeast with UEFI mode selected. no change.

thanks for all your time by the way. it is greatly appreciated.

you disabled secure boot on your motherboard?

i don't see an option for that.

on another note. i just reinstalled multibeast with legacy mode. OSX booted ok the first time. everything worked. second boot and the following resulted in a black screen as soon as the GUI loads.

this gets confusing...

best to check the guides on what to enable/disable on your motherboard
