Hi Xavi16,

Is there any possibility by chance that using your method and copy the kext to the 10.12 folder in Clover partition would make the update to Sierra as simple as updating on a real Mac :)

Perhaps all or most of kext might work in the future update of MacOS Sierra once it is released or the current betas.

Still do not know if I'll make a guide to Sierra since it takes me some time and I'm a little busy right now, but in the future will try to do so.

Hi the community...

tiny question (by curiosity), no one tried to install on a ROG rampage V edition 10?

it is new mobo and dont know if it is easy as the V extreme, which the edition 10 share a lot of same components...

;)

Do not have a ROG Rampage V edition 10, but you could try to install it, maybe you need to make some adjustments and patch the DSDT, you can play with the installation using a single hard drive for this, to avoid losing your files or current operating systems.

I can maybe have a look at DSDT if you extracted your UEFI BIOS.

Hi @Xavi16 I think that you are spanish or you speak spanish, ?¿?¿?¿? my english is very poor. I installed El Capitan 10.11.6 with your guide but i make a frankenstein (unibest, your EFI, delete kext Bluetooth (kernel panic in the boot and after the installation) my motherboard is ASUS X99-A, my problem... ***I don't have sound, usb 2.0 not working.... I don't know which is the problem, you know some tutorial?*** one date my gtx 980TI in Cinebench_R15 OpenGL 88-95fps, normal?? in windows 154fps....

EDIT:
*USB 2.0 working with ''MultiBest - El Capitan Edition''
*Sound problem solved with ''MultiBest - El Capitan Edition'', installed kext sound for ALC1150.
*The Nvidia 980TI continue the problem..

Any solution? I am searching...

PD: What scores have you in GeekBench 3? My CPU (i7 5820K) could not be working correctly.

Right, I speak Spanish is my native language, I'm not Spanish, I'm from Costa Rica, it is a real shame that this site does not allow post in Spanish, but I created a guide in PDF in Spanish that you can download from the main guide , maybe not this update, but you can follow the main guide and help with PDF in Spanish.

You are using an ASUS X99-A and my guide is designed for Rampage V Extreme, although much information is valuable for you and some kext also work on your motherboard, you need to create your own DSDT with all patches as well as the USB ports mapping, as it is not the same as on the Rampage V Extreme, perhaps this is what is affecting your installation.

Thanks, I have followed your guide and was successfully able to install Hackintosh

Can you add a bit more detailed EFI partition part clearly for other people to easily understand, as it took me quite some time to figure that out.
I understand that many people find difficult and complicated to perform the steps to successfully achieve their facilities, so was that put effort to make a guide that there was no need to do anything more to replace files.

my guide was written and designed in, download attachments and replace each folder as indicated in the guide.

You only need to copy and paste the EFI Post Install on your EFI partition and this will make magic on your Hackintosh.

Maybe in the future it is better to add a long list of steps for each person to be layered to create and make your files, but this would take longer and probably more complications.

I would prefer if you don't do that, doing this way have saved me soo much time and effort required to figuring complicated things out, it was like really really easy and I really appreciate how much time and effort you have put in it. Please keep it up :D

The only part I was confused was while making usb and having to copy efi files on the USB EFI partition

I followed this guide : http://themacadmin.com/mounting-the-efi-boot-partition-on-mac-os-x/

as how to mount efi boot partition on USB I replaced the one in it with my usb drive and copied pasted and everything worked like a charm after that

Thanks a ton for creating one of the easiest way to install hackintosh :D

Hey Xavi16, many thanks for this I have chosen to take the same approach as you and have started by mapping my USB ports. I have an Asus X99a/USB3.1. My post is here.

I am now not sure what to do with the information. Could I kindly ask you to point me in the right direction?

Hello Friend

Well the first thing is to see which method you will use to inject your ports, in my guide I describe three ways to do so, by: DSDT, SSDT or by a USBInject.kext

For my installation, I have chosen a DSDT which is the most important file on my installation, creating a DSDT in which I repair and inject each hardware in my PC, this saves me time and use kexts, doing my installation more clean and again as stable and ready for future updates.

I recommend that you extract your OEM DSDT and perform all patches and repairs according to your hardware, this will definitely be the best you can do, forget about editing kexts, or having to use a lot of kext to enable each hardware.

Begins extract your OEM DSDT.

You will notice that a good DSDT makes all the magic, like a Mac Real.

Thank you again Xavi16.

This is how I started. I had to extract my DSDT to get my graphics card working. Once I could SEE what was going on, things became easier.

I have changed EHC1 to EH01, EHC2 to EH02 and XCHI to XCH. With help from RehabMan, I also got my on-board NVMe working and showing up as an internal drive. The last bit needed me to remove a couple of lines from my DSDT.

I followed your method because I could see that this was the cleanest way to get everything up and running... like a real Mac!!!

At the moment, I am using one kext for USB: RehabMan's XHCI-x99-injector.kext from OS-X-USB-Inject-All-master. Everything is working but I have a feeling that this is more due to luck than anything else.

I also would like to rely on a single DSDT but after having mapped my ports, I am not sure where to start on my DSDT.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

For anyone else reading this, my NVMe shows up properly in the Apple System Profiler as do my SATA ports and I no longer get the error message under PCI. I should be happy with all this but I am still not convinced that USB is quite correct.

Only use your DSDT and will not need more, you can download mine and look into the make-your patches, I assure you that you will not need the USBInject.kext or anything else, the DSDT will do all the work.

When you extract the DSDT and you put it inside EFI partition , your DSDT will tell El Capitan the port mapping and more hardware. But then because it is important to have carried out mapping usb ports? simple, because if you need to remove specific ports, you'll know that you remove from your DSDT or cancel by some other means, as also explained in the guide.

If you already have your DSDT working, try to eliminate the XHCI-x99-injector.kext, and see if your DSDT is doing its job.

remember that before you should have the patch removal limit ports on your config.plist

Thank you, Xavi16.

I will try removing the XHCI-X99_Injector. kext tomorrow. It will be an interesting experiment. RehabMan has suggested that I go down the SSDT route which was your previous suggestion, too and I think this might be an easier option for me. He has suggested using USBInjector.kext to initially inject all the ports but I have noted since I started this that he does not feel that simply installing the kext is a long-term solution. It's great that you two guys agree.

I didn't have much time today but I did have a quick look at your SSDT. Cool work, Xavi16. With a little help from ReharbMan and you, I think I'm going to get the system I actually want and learn a lot in the process, too.

My first two Hackintoshes never took me to this depth. For some reason, this time around, I do feel that I'm starting to understand ACPI a little more. I think that in previous builds, I could get away without although I always appreciated its power. This time, I feel that if I want to get this rig working properly, I have no option other than to get involved a lot more.
