Hi guys,

i want to replace my snow leopard system with windows 7 entirely and want to know if i have to change settings in bios or if i just can erase my hard disk and make it bootable for windows.

you can just set default for bios settings and then boot from your windows 7 media, wipe partition and then install. you may need to change sata mode from ahci to sata mode via bios

Insert Windows install media, boot to BIOS, select set Optimum Defaults, save&exit, continue boot, hit F12 to select the Windows install media to boot. At the Windows install screen select Custom install. At the screen to select the partition to install Windows, start at the last partition, delete it, select the next one, delete it, repeat until all partitions have been deleted and you have nothing but free space left. Select the free space and click next/install. Windows installer will create and format partitions as required.
