Thanks, just tried this and it locks up just the same. I'll try with an Nvidia GT 640 as soon as I have time and will report back.
Try this line - 'defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA forceIntel -boolean yes' in terminal instead of this one -'defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA forceNV -boolean yes' which you maybe using.
The reason I am suggesting this is I initially used the line for my card which is an ATI card which didn't work until I switched to entering the Intel one instead along with the removal of the kext I mentioned before.
Just tried this (removed the 'AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsVADriver.Bundle' file with 'defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA forceIntel -boolean yes') and had the same results. A couple of TV trailers played ok, but as soon as I tried a movie trailer (The Huntsman: Winter's War) it completely locked up - this is using HD Graphics 4600 with no other graphics card installed.
Just to add, the iTunes video playback is set at Standard Definition.
Hey,Hi at all,
this solution don´t work for me on an Skylake System (Gigabyte Z170X-UD5-TH, Core i7-6700K, Nvidia GeForce GTX750TI) and OS X 10.11.5. Maybe my procedure isn´t correct or my config.plist isn´t it
I have the Kext in EVI/CLOVER/KEXTS/10.11 and EVI/CLOVER/KEXTS/other, i´ve followed the instructions for Terminal commands correctly.
Need some help at this point. Before forget to told: Graphics-Driver always set to OS-X Default after reboot.....
thanks at this moment
