Thanks, just tried this and it locks up just the same. I'll try with an Nvidia GT 640 as soon as I have time and will report back.

Try this line - 'defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA forceIntel -boolean yes' in terminal instead of this one -'defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA forceNV -boolean yes' which you maybe using.

The reason I am suggesting this is I initially used the line for my card which is an ATI card which didn't work until I switched to entering the Intel one instead along with the removal of the kext I mentioned before.

Just tried this (removed the 'AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsVADriver.Bundle' file with 'defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA forceIntel -boolean yes') and had the same results. A couple of TV trailers played ok, but as soon as I tried a movie trailer (The Huntsman: Winter's War) it completely locked up - this is using HD Graphics 4600 with no other graphics card installed.

Just to add, the iTunes video playback is set at Standard Definition.

Don't know what else to suggest, my setup works with a dedicated graphics card oppose to the board's, its crazy how it works in different ways for some and not others. The funny thing is as a test on one of my rigs, I didn't use the 'Script' at the beginning of the thread, but merely removed that kext (AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsVADriver.Bundle) from s/l/e rebooted and it worked! This method was copied from Slice over on the other side. When I get a moment, I will try it without the 'Shiki kext' and note the results. Hope you find a working solution for your setup.

I was able to get this working using an Nvidia GT 640 card instead of HD 4600, then ran the steps from the first page again. So far all iTunes trailers have played without any lockups or problems.

Thanks for the help and fix!

Hi at all,

this solution don´t work for me on an Skylake System (Gigabyte Z170X-UD5-TH, Core i7-6700K, Nvidia GeForce GTX750TI) and OS X 10.11.5. Maybe my procedure isn´t correct or my config.plist isn´t it
I have the Kext in EVI/CLOVER/KEXTS/10.11 and EVI/CLOVER/KEXTS/other, i´ve followed the instructions for Terminal commands correctly.

Need some help at this point. Before forget to told: Graphics-Driver always set to OS-X Default after reboot.....

thanks at this moment

Hey,
maybe it's because of the loading problem of the graphics driver...
Does it really load the default driver or is it only saying so? The NVIDIA Driver Manager (maybe) lies about that. I got it too using boot-args in Clover. It says Default, but it really was the NVIDIA.

What does the "about this MAC" menu say when you boot your system? Is your graphics card shown correct and you see Default Driver is checked? Then it is working and you don't have to think about it.

Please check this and tell us about it. I'll try to help you out then.

Edit:
I checked your config.plist...
You got nvda_drv = 1 and nv_disable = 1
I think only one of this would be correct. Try removing nv_disable.

Ok, i removed nv_disable = 1, again load OS X Default Graphics Driver after reboot, Graphic Card is shown correctly, iTunes stays at black screen. But the System seems to be faster now.....

There is another Problem with iTunes, after every Reboot i have to authorize my Computer again.

btw. i am from GER too, maybe this makes it easylier
