Lots of garbage installed, but I see nothing wrong with backlight control. Maybe it has something to do with booting on battery vs. ac adapter. You should test.

Same problem. I believe it has to do with how hotpatch deals with the system. No such problems when I used PBI-CE v6.4.4

Nothing to do with hotpatch. You should check that your NVRAM is working.

I don't know how to check if it's working or not.

But I finally got it working by installing PBI-CE v6.4.4 then transit to hotpatch. I left my SSDT.aml intact in the "patched" folder of EFI. I equally skipped the Power Management section of the guide.

Now, the brightness in both 10.12 and 10.11 are working well.

SSDT.aml will be the same as PBI-CE also uses ssdtPRgen.sh.
 
Hi everyone! can anyone help to install sierra to toshiba satellite C50-A-L3W ? I tried to install but I got "panic cpu" and mac os version not set yet".
