Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can help me?

I'm a bit of a noob to this so bare with me, i've got a lenovo 500-15isk Ideapad, there was absolutely no information about this laptop online and how to install OSX on to it or if it was even possible, infact its hard to find information about the laptop itself, although someone with a bit of knowlege told me it was possible with the specs? not sure myself, however took their word for it?

Lenovo Ideadpad 500-15isk
Windows 10 Home
Intel (R) CORE (Tm) i7 6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.60GHz
Installed RAM 12.0 GB
64 bit operating system x64 based processor
1TB storage
AMD RADEON Graphics
Intel(R) HD Graphics 520
Bios info: Intel Video BIOS

So....I've made a Yosemite bootable USB, using unibeast / chimera /Multibeast as instructions on this website, formatted the drive partition etc (followed this step several times)- but when I try to boot from USB on my laptop, I click to install OSX and all I see the apple logo flash for a second, like it wants to install but then the computer restarts and then it's back to lenovo logo again.

I've tried all the boot flags and nothing works, just keeps looping back to lenovo logo, I've tried patching the kernel as suggested - even tried using clover but the same thing happens. just cannot get past the apple screen and rebooting process.

Anyone have any further information please? been trying to do this for weeks now :( loosing my head

There is no support for Skylake in Yosemite.

Thank you for replying, I really appreciate it.
Using the clover guide is too complicated, I'm scared I'm going to wipe my mac. dont understand this bit, can I not use unibeast? So I can see that the USB is at /dev/disk1. Be careful with diskutil as you can lose data without a mechanism for recovery if you repartition the wrong disk.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

When followed correctly, nothing in the guide will "wipe your mac". You should always have a backup, of course (HDD/SSD can fail at any time).

I do understand what you mean, but I don't understand the instructions :/ and while i have downloaded the newest version of el capitan, i do not want to install this on my mac as some programmes wont work, is there no other option?

It looks like i have to have EL capitan 10.11 installed on my mac for this to work

You do not need to install 10.11 on your Mac. But you do have to download it from the App Store.

OK i followed all instructions, I am now getting to the black apple screen with the grey loading bar, then before the loading bar reaches the end, I got a lot of text flash up and it just reboots and see lenovo again. becoming fed up of this :banghead: just dont understand what I am doing wrong

I don't know if this helps, but any help would be appreciated. thanks (Pic attached)
