I am building a hackintosh for a local radio station and unfortunately I am having trouble getting the audio to work. None of the audio jacks work, and no devices show up. I tried to install ALC887/ALC888 using multibeast however this did not lead to the audio working (the machine was reset before the test). I also tried to install the optional 5.1 install because my manual indicates that they may run that channel, once again after reset, did not work.
It is a GA-Z170-HD3 Gigabyte ultra durable board with an i3 processor and 16 gb of ram. No graphics card. It is quite similar to the thread made by Danjerous (link http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/help-my-hackintosh-wont-detect-audio.194664/) I have yet to try the options in this thread because in his case he is using the MX version of the board and didn't want to screw up my installation so far. I have seen that I may need to post a log here, but I am unsure how to get it. Any advice would be appreciated.
