Hi Shilohh! First thank you for your great work! I followed your tutorial to install osx El Capitan (10.11.5) on my computer, I already have windows 10 installed on another SSD.
My board is a X79 Deluxe so I used your special SSDT-0 file, but I have an issue. Sometimes, it will boot correctly on OSX, but sometimes, it will restart after showing this : (attached image)

I used your bootargs, and I tried to add kext-dev-mode=1.
I tried to use the verbose mode several times, and it always shows the same thing (even if OSX boot correctly... 1time/5)

Can someone could help me please? :)

Oh yeah, and my bios version is 902.

PS: sorry for my bad english

Jeff

Hi everyone

Sorry to ask but Ive spent weeks trying to get a Gigabte GTX960 card working in my RIV Gene board. I've followed the guide to the letter, tried the patch, tried changing system definitions and tried a huge amount of bootflags but it just doesn't work.

It basically shows the progress bar to about 2/3 the way then just hangs. I'm used the correct web drivers and I can boot with nv_disable=1 but can I hell get the thing to work. I've tried every displayport connector and also every DVI connector and the HDMI.

I'm just completely at a loss as to what to do.

Any idea why my MOBO(R4BE) only sees one drive in the BIOS, and even with all hot plugs disabled, El Capitan still sees the other drive as external. The boot drive is seen as internal, and is plugged into the Intel sata port.

Just had a nice long chat with an Adobe rep about crash issues around the latest Adobe CC (2015.3) and this build.

Shilohh, I'd love to get some advice on this, but don't want to clutter the thread for non-editors. Am I ok to post here about CC issues directly related to this build, or should I move it elsewhere?

Could you please elaborate on this as I was going to update to 2015.3, thanx

Premiere CC 2015.3 onwards have switched to Metal renderer for the foreseeable future. Meaning it looks for the standard AMD card installed in Macbooks and Mac Pros. Because we're using NVIDIA cards Premiere crashes your machine on start-up. So yeah, it's a problem.

I haven't seen Shilohh post on here since May, anyone know if he's still around?

Thanks SlapDashAsh that explains a lot. Obviously I am having the same problem. If you find out any other info please let me know.

Shiloh when you do make your return any insight would be appreciated.

Love the guide, i have followed it, but run into problems when booting the installer, i don't get very fare before i get a "missing bluetooth transport" message just after after
" couldn't alloc class EEAPDFix"
ApplecredentialManager::start called
AssertMacros: tmpData (value: 0x0), file: /BuildRoot/Library/caches/com.apple.xps/Sources/AppleCredentialManager/AppleCredentialManager-83.40.3/AppleCredentialManager/AppleCredentialManager.cpp, line: 785

any idea what i'm doing wrong ? i've been searching and can't seem to find anyone who's got the same problem.

I've updated to 2015.3 for Premiere and AE and they both work fine, pretty stable actually. I'm on 10.10.5 though, don't know if that makes a difference and use the latest NVIDIA driver and CUDA.

The only issue I have is with my GTX 980 Ti, sometimes I gets glitches like the pictures below. Any idea how to correct them? Redo the DSDT?

The rest is pretty standard, R4BE, i74930 OC @ 4.5Ghz, GTX 980 Ti 6Gb, 64 GB ram.

Thanks for the help!
