hope someone could post a noob-friendy guide on how to remove realtek audio and install voddoo/applehda for our nuc6 and if you can guide me on how to make hwsensor work.tried it but on my hd temp are only shown but not cpu gpu and fan.appreciate if someone help me..

If you follow my guide as written, audio works with (patched) AppleHDA/CodeCommander.

It is not difficult to follow. You should try.

il try but hope you can guide me..can you give me the link?>tnx and God Bless

Problems here with an iTunes update.
My nuc6i5syh was working fine with NvmeGeneric driver (patched via clover config). Today I accepted Appstore suggestion to upgrade iTunes!!!!
As soon as it finished my Nuc rebooted by itself (crash?) and now it keeps continuously rebooting :(
So, bootloop after an iTunes update. Anyone has experienced this?

While booting in verbose mode I can see a NvmeGeneric kernel traceback error.

Moreover booting from USB, now, with the installer, gives me a denied sign! So I cannot enter my system to remove the use of the NvmeGeneric driver and see if this solve the issue.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

NVMeGeneric has too many problems to recommend it...
No doubt your crash is due to update to 10.11.6, not iTunes.

Use patched IONVMeFamily.kext instead.

FYI, I updated my NUC6i5 to 10.11.6 via the App Store and it worked with no problems. Previously I made the 3D Graphics enabling change suggested by iwasready, "change the ig-platform-id to 0x19260002 and reboot" which worked great as that's a role for this machine.

is I better on nuc6i5 to set "ig-platform-id to 0x19260002" or "ig-platform-id to 0x19260000"?

Most of the data that is different between those two ig-platform-id values is not well understood.
The only way to know which works best is through experimentation.

NUC6i5SYH (6260), El Capitan 10.11.6

AppleHDA kext is now invisible, and sound does not work after copying it from El Capitan on my USB installer. I used Terminal to make System folder appear so I could copy
No matter what I try, I can't get it to be recognized by my system.

What am I doing wrong here? Did I forget some command to restore this and get sound working? Please see screenshot of the invisible AppleHDA kext as it is seen in my System folder.
