No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Also tried doing a fresh install...
Added 1150 and Series 100 with MultiBeast.
Ran audio_codecdetect and got the attached error.
Must be APCI error because motherboard BIOS HD audio is confirmed turned on.
Tried suggested link in error... Was dead.
Found the file anyway...
ssdt_hdef-1-no_ioreg - didn't work. Also tried hdef-2 didn't work.

I'd rather try fixing the first install issue, as it already has all my programs, configuration etc... It's just the audio that's missing.

I'm going to try to work with the fresh install instead.

I am up to injecting ALC Realtek. Which audio ID am I using for my mother board? It's a Gigabyte Z170-UD5. It has 5.1, so I wasn't sure if I was injecting 1 or 2.

  • Description of audio problem
    1. On the fresh install added 1150 and 100 series with MultiBeast. MultiBeast reports success. But I get the attached error message when running audio_codecdetect... Also tried using audio_Clover-ALC110 and got the attached error.

Audio is working. Ignore errors.

But when I plugged in my headphones to all ports (motherboard and F_Audio Headphone jack on case) I got no sound. Will restart system and try again when I get home. Hoping for success!

Also, what about the Audio_CodecDetectError. Is that normal?:

Error: no IOReg/HDEF; BIOS/audio/disabled or ACPI problem; FIX:
BIOS problem, set BIOS/.../HD Audio/Enabled
ACPI problem, try:
https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALCInjection/tree/master/ssdt_hdef/
ssdt_hdef-1-no_ioreg/hdef

Thanks for all your help!

UPDATE: On-board motherboard audio working. Thanks for your help and your patience.

Anything I can do to get the audio from my display port and HDMI on my EVGA GTX 950 to work?

On-board motherboard audio working.

Reports of my success were somewhat exaggerated.

On boot to OS X, audio works. OS X also recognizes headphones when plugged in (in SysPref: Sound: Output, Internal Speaker changes from Builtin to Headphones).

However, on wake from sleep, audio is again lost, headphones not recognized. If I raise and lower the Audio Preferences Volume Slider in the system tray (top right icons with date), the a crackling sound is the only thing that comes through. Audio is indiscernible. If I reboot audio works fine again.

Solution Attempted:
Tried enabling ResetHDA and AFGLowPower in Clover... Tried them each individually with reboot and separately with reboot. Did not resolve issue.

Is there another Clover Config or config.plist fix for this issue?

I can provide files for current config, but no config changes were made since last post of files.
