Just like the title says, I want to get an idea of the popular mobo brands.

If you could vote then tell why you went with that board, that would be much appreciated. :headbang:

i have 2 build running
1.gigabyte h55usb-3(1156)matx
i3 this is my g4 build
1.asus x58 sabertooth(couldn't get a gigabyte one)
i7 this is my g5(pro) build .... pretty fast btw

both boards are very well made and good(easy) hacks to get going..

Gigabyte of course.......as pre edited DSDTs are available here for most of their models....even for each bios version......hats off to Macman :headbang:

I have 2 hacks. The first uses a msi h61m-p23 board that was almost free from microcenter if you purchased a G620 pentium with it maybe a year and a half ago. The other is a GIGABYTE GA-H61M-D2P-B3. It was an open box at microcenter that was priced at 27 bucks. Both fit well into my budget.

Gigabyte 4 life!

I made a mistake when I chose Intel over the recommended Gigabyte. It took a loooooong loooong time to make it work.

I have an ASUS but it seems like the Gigabytes are the best for compatibility

ASUS x79 Sabertooth. Best for raw power! No power management is overrated.

Gigabyte ,775 ,1156 ,1155 :D :D
