How do I overclock?

Hi guys I am wondering how do I overclock PC's I've seen videos of CPU blowing up through tables lol. But they are true stories but how dangourus is it and will I blow up my table like other crazy ppl

This actually is a very serious question and one that i would very much like to get an answer to! Is overclocking okay for a Hackintosh and if so, what are the steps?

I think it's pretty safe as long as you aren't pushing too hard. First thing you need is an aftermarket cooler (not the fan that comes with the Intel chips). I was overclocking with a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus (cost me about $25) to 4.5Ghz on my i5-3570K. I personally think they wouldn't even sell unlocked chips if it was overly dangerous. Just look for the overclock guides on this forum or on other overclocking forums. I literally went into my BIOS, changed 5 things, and it was overclocking.

You also have to start small and go up in increments, then test the hell out of it with Prime 95 and watching all of your temps. There is a ton of information on it, good luck
