Gmyle Bluetooth dongle not recognising any devices

After hours of searching for a sollution I really hope smbdy on this forum can help me.

I recently bought this GMYLE usb bluetooth adapter to get my magicmouse working.

Maverics recognises it oob as bluetooth device, so no problems there but:
It doesn't seem to find any bluetooth device at all . no phone, no other computer in the room, no mouse, nothing.. Regardless of the usb port I plug it in or how close I lay the device near the dongle.

I tried deleting the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist and unplugging all usb devices turn computer off -> on

The strange thing is, my android phone finds the hackintosh and also the magic mouse is found by the phone as well as al the other devices in the room.

For what it's worth, this is the MOBO i use: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H iZ77,

I really hope somebody can help me, so I don't need to sell the mouse.

I'm experiencing the same issue with this bluetooth adapter.

Have you tried to put the dongle in a USB 2 port? I have the same dongle and this has solved my problem


EDIT: Looks like your mb hasn't got any USB 2 ports...maybe you could try your front usb, if you have one.
