I get that one, too. I'd like to know how to reliably fix it. I've used the maxmem flag to no effect. I think -f gets me past deadbeef most often.

Try some flags I got the Deadbeef error too and what worked for me:
-v, GraphicsEnabler=No, npci=0x3000, maxmem=8192(or 4096 if you have a 4 gig stick)
