Very helpful. Unfortunately, I already purchased a replacement Wifi card for my motherboard, so hopefully that will work. However, if it doesn't, I will get this one instead. Thanks for the help!

Yes! I think this is exactly what I was looking for. But can you confirm something for me? I read somewhere that the App store, iTunes, and Facetime won't work with a USB adapter, since OSX won't see it as an Airport card. Is this true? Seems crazy to me.

It is true that on Hackintosh, most wireless cards will not be recognized as an Airport card. However, lucky for you someone named Bob Roche exists and he made this for you...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ERhs...6PNLi5&index=2

Stick works well... good looking out!

This is a great solution for the H77N-WiFi builds which the existing PICe slot is being occupied by a graphics card.. economically efficient as well!

Best Mountain Lion Wifi USB Stick, D-Link DWA-131, Really Cheap Price, Only 10 Bucks!

    Hi all,

This Wifi USB stick worked so well with my previous build, that I decided to try it on another...

The only issue that I've had is that the D-Link wireless network utility will pop up every time start the computer...

I was able to get my last build to stop doing that, but I may have forgot how..

    Anybody know?

Edit - This is what it looks like every time I boot up:

Encryption WEP? You sleeping under a rock or just unkown to the fact that having wep or no password protected wireless channel is near to the same thing with using WEP as encrytion type xD.
Any low life near your house that knows how to use google and put in 2 words will have access to your network, change that **** and if you can't you should really think about upgrading your network.

I have a question. I just purchased the usb dongle mentioned in this thread, and I have an old desktop that I just recently hackintoshed.

I couldn't get my hackintosh to work with any of the bootloaders offered in multibeast, so I've just been booting it off of the original installer USB stick (so essentially via unibeast I guess?)

Now the video mentions editing the chameleon bootplist, but I guess I won't have that since I didn't install any bootloader.

Any idea what I can do in my situation??

    Some specs

    -Gigabyte 965P-DS3 mobo
    -Core 2 Duo E6750 CPU
    -GeForce 8800GTS 320MB Superclocked GPU

The reason why I don't have any bootloaders/anything from multibeast is because every time I try, the computer does a kernel panic or hangs on boot or something. I've found that the only way to reliably boot is via the original installer stick every time.

    Thanks for your help!

DWA-131 Rev:B1 also working with these drivers

I was pleasantly surprised to find that hardware revision B1 also works with the 10.8 drivers you linked to in the first post, despite the box and official d-link download page not reflecting OSX support. Thanks again for the recommendation.
