I'm working on a new driver and the results are promising. Basic functions are already working but the code still lacks some advanced features like wake-on-lan and recovery from transmitter lockups.

That's a good news! Nice work, dude!

Edit: If you need beta testers, you can count me in!

Thanks Mieze.

An open source driver would be welcome so more of us can contribute to fixes. For whatever reason (sometimes real life gets in the way, motivation wanes, etc.), lynx2mac hasn't done any work on his driver in a long while and never released source. And I have always had the problems mentioned here where a wake from sleep is a gamble... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and the only fix is a power cycle. ifconfig down/up occasionally fixes it, but usually not. And it's the only driver I've seen that causes 'ifconfig ... up' to often spew a bunch of newlines in my terminal.

Hi Mieze,

Any news on how your development the driver is progressing? Would be great if you could let us know what is going on.

thanks
h.

Hi Mieze

Thanks for that, sorry mate but not enough posts to private message, so can only post this on here.

I don't think I will have any issues building the driver, but the only question I have is what is the best way to remove the old driver and install the new one.

If you can help with the above question and message me the link, I am happy to work it on my own.

Many Thanks
H

Thanks working good so far! After sleep I've got a directly working connection. Attached some lines from the console, maybe helpful..

If you need some more testing, I'm available (and german :-D )

But I don't have enough posts for PMs so you better send me your mail address.
