Hi all,

i just made a new build it's GA-Z87X-UD3H with intel i5-4460 using integrated graphics.

i noticed over a few hours of uptime this build will be unreachable on my LAN. When i check network utility, it'll it'll show i'm still connected but when i try pinging websites and even the router i would get request timeouts. The only way for me to get connectivity back is to reset the computer, even renewing DHCP won't do the trick. I tried hnak's 3.04 and 3.10(?) drivers? the newest ones but same result.

Also noticed that if plex is transcoding something on the background, network won't drop.

Tried turning off screensaver, display sleep, and computer sleep but same results.

Could it be a hardware problem?

Thanks in advanced guys

Bogie

I added a Realtek ethernet card and installed the official kext and now it works flawlessly.

Hey, thank you for the post.
I have similar issues with my z87x-ud5 th. Most of the time ethernet works really good, but the computer freezes if I try to transfer large files to my NAS.
I also installed Windows 7 on a different hard drive and everything works great.

Sometimes I don't get the IP address.

Which network card did you choose?
Can you write down the model? Did you have to change something in the BIOS settings?
Which drivers did you install? Did you get them from MultiBeast?

A lot of questions, I am very sorry :)

Thank you so much for your help.

I would be also interesting in the answer. What exact Realtek Card have you installed? My GA Z87-UD3 also has an issue with the network.

Thanks!
