Hi guys,
I've read in the audio interfaces... topic that some of you are using the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP on their Hackintosh.

I have the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 (not the DSP one), my Os is Lion, my motherboard (working fw inside) is a GA Z68XP-UD3. When i install MixControl and reboot i've got KP everywhere, the only way to start Osx again is to delete saffire kext. Anybody know a way to make it work? I will be sad to sell this very good card for a compatible one :/

Thx in advance!

Hi there, a little update! It works!!! :headbang:

The solution to avoid Kernel Panic was to replace Chimera (I was using the 1.8 version) by Chameleon.
I have :

  • downloaded the Chameleon Wizard

  • updated the bootloader

and that's all :)

Hi,
Could you please inform me about how to replace the chimera with Chameleon ?
I am on Lion 10.7.3 and my motherboard is Z68x-UD3 along with a Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD6870.
thank you in advance !

Question for those who have used Chameleon Wizard recently: did you have to download the latest Chameleon from somewhere? Or did the wizard just grab it for you? It's not grabbing it for me + all the info on the Chameleon website looks to be years out of date! I'm in a similar situation with the GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 + Gigabyte Radeon 6870, trying to run a Liquid Saffire 56; + a few times I've hit this stretch where after my machine has been running perfectly for a while (like, several days) I start getting kernel panics unpredictably and then eventually it's panicking on boot nearly every time, and usually Saffire.kext gets mentioned in there somewhere. I'd like to try the above advice but I'm pretty unsure about it. Any tips?
