I really like and want to get the Apollo Apollo Duo for my home studio. I currently have a few lower end USB audio interfaces that work with no problem with Logic Pro X, but would like to upgrade to the Apollo Duo. My current build has no Firewire or Thunderbolt support. Does anyone know if there are any mac supported PCI Firewire cards that will work with a GA-Z97-D3H? Or would it be worth swapping motherboards to a Thunderbolt Supported board like the GA Z87X UD7 TH and starting my build from scratch again? Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I'd love to know what you did finally.
I am also thinking on buying the Apollo Duo, and I am curious what are my options building a new Hakintosh.

I concur! I would very much like to know what your setup is comprised of Jimicrac. I see your system specs below indicating that you are using that newer 4790K with that GB board minus FW or TB support.

I'm very curious to know what route you went component wise. Did you just upgrade your mobo?
And how was setup? Which UAD interface are you running, which version of OSX, and in what DAW primarily?
Thanks
