I've been trying to install Mountain Lion using the latest Unibeast 1.5.3 and Multibeast 5.0.2
I used the settings tonymac posted under http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...65213-post-your-multibeast-5-screenshots.html and also using his recommended BIOS post.
I have successfully installed on this system using older Unibeast and Multibeast following http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...cess-gigabyte-ga-z77x-up5-th-thunderbolt.html but these options do not work now.
I'm at a loss without an older version of Multibeast.
Can anyone try this and let me know what is going on!?

Thank you for the help!
I replaced both org.chameleon and smbios plist, and it booted but pluging in usb freezes everything.
I installed org.chameleon from mbeast 5.0.2 and replaced the smbios w/unibeast, looks like it's org.chameleon that hanging things up... I wish I could be the old ver5 mbeast!

I am thinking this may have nothing to do with the Kernel Modules but rather the Kernel itself and most likely the Chameleon/Chimera Bootloader no? I wonder if the Chameleon team is working on a fix?

I have no issues with the same configuration as Mountain Lion is reporting the CPU correctly.

The only oddity I've seen with this combo is that OS X is always reporting the CPU as 3.5 GHz. But in HWMonitor you can see it SpeedStep up to 3.9 GHz when running stock or to whatever I OC the CPU to (gotten it running stable at 4.8 GHz). When I get a chance I'll look into the code and see if it's a Chimera issue or a UEFI issue.

Well thats strange, Alfa147x also gets this error posted on this page: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...s-gigabyte-ga-z77x-up5-th-thunderbolt-19.html EDIT: looks like he got somewhere, waiting to try what he did.
I installed fine with an older beast, decided to return my 560ti for a 660ti and during the down time, I wanted to install using the hd4000 graphics, thats were this whole thing started...
fresh install.
following rec bios guide.
following tonymacs mbeast screen shoot post.
The only thing I can suppose is mlion download from App Store is corrupt.

I have, no luck! :(
I'm working off Alfa's post, I don't wanna double post, but if I get this working again I'll post what worked in hope that it helps someone else in my place.
Thanks again iNews for the help!

I have the same error. WARNING: Unknown CPU ID model 0x3a. Posted during boots in console. I am using an i5 3570k. In About This Mac it reports the CPU correctly as an intel core i5.

I have Disabled EIST function to get the right frequency to show in about this mac. It shows my CPU turbo at 3.8Ghz. Over clock at 4.2 Ghz.
I have also tested the CPU ID with EIST disabled/enabled to see if this causes the error with the CPU model, but this setting does not effect the error in console.

My problem is I can't even get it to boot! (w/o replacing chameleon plist like iNews mentions)
perhaps it's related to power management? (shown on screen shot)
