I just successfully installed OS X El Capitan on my PC/Hackintosh.

I have a Z97X Gigabyte board, I have my windows 10 ssd as my 1st boot priority, and my uefi unibeast usb set second.

Whenever I want to boot into OS X I just press f12, boot from the usb and select HFS in the clover boot screen.

I have a bunch of NTFS drives that show up at the clover boot screen, and they all do nothing.

How can I dual boot it, or boot right into the HFS drive without having to select it again? Would I use the upcoming Multicast 8.0? Do I need chimera? Is chimera compatible with clover?

I also don't know how to boot it without the unibeast/clover usb drive

I did most of everything on the list on how to install El Capitan. http://www.tonymacx86.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=91

I have 3 drives:

1 Samsung 850 Evo 250gb drive for Windows 10 (ONLY)

1 Samsung 850 Evo 120gb drive for OS X (ONLY)

1 WD 2TB 7200rpm HDD, with three partitions:

-1.3 TB for Windows storage
-500gb for Hackintosh storage
-200gb for Hackintosh Time Machine

I don't know much about drivers, and a lot of the terms such as fake smc, kext, and many more things..

Any suggestions?

And how do I get rid of all those useless NTFS drives icons that pop up on the clover boot screen? Everything works fine as of now and I don't want to screw anything up.

I'm in a similar situation. Windows 10 and Mac OS X on seperate drives. I've gone one step further than you I think - I've installed clover on the mac drive, and it boots just fine.

But via Clover none of the NTFS drives boot, so we probably need to do some further configuration (the clover we installed was a pared-down version methinks).

Replying so I can follow along with you on what to do next.

With info given it is impossible to diagnose problem.
Post screenshot of terminal output from running diskutil list.

You have Win10 installed Legacy mode, which is OK, it should still boot. Make sure in BIOS you have the boot mode set to "Legacy and UEFI" so it will boot both the Clover OS X EFI and the Win10 Legacy.

It may be a BIOS/UEFI thing, but I have no problem booting EFI for OS X and Legacy for Win7 on the P8Z77-I (when I have time I intend to test the Z87I Deluxe also) while others are having problems getting Windows to boot.

I managed to get a bit further in this.

The clover version I downloaded and installed on El Capitan following the update guide does not contain the necessary ntfs files, so I added those to my EFI partition.

The result is now that Clover can read those NTFS drives and shows me a bit more information on them, but Windows 10 still won't boot from clover.

However, when I boot using the BIOS selection screen, and select the windows drive from there, it does work and I am able to boot into windows 10.

So : the windows 10 drive is ok, it's 'just' a configuration issue in clover. So I'm still trying to learn more on how to setup clover booting windows legacy drives. Any pointers are welcome !

If you have a UEFI BIOS, best is to re-install or convert Win10 to UEFI installation. While Clover installed for Legacy boot mode will boot Win10 legacy mode, Clover installed for UEFI boot will not. Function hotkey to select boot device is required to boot mis-matched UEFI OS X/Windows Legacy.
At least, I never got it to work - maybe you will have better luck.

I have a simular problem. I have W10 as Legacy and I installed El-Capitan as UEFI and after I installed Clover as UEFI (on Mac OS HDD). I can boot from MAC but when I click windows I see only blinking cursor. in my BIOS I selected Legacy and UEFI mode

Is there any way to start windows from clover without reinstall of any OS?

You have to either try and get Clover to boot Windows in Legacy (good luck with that). Convert your legacy install to UEFI, or reinstall.

I don't understand what i'm doing wrong im trying to install windows UEFI on my hack i've installed OS X and then when i boot from windows usb i get a error when trying to install.

Now i've already studied this a lot i formatted the drive with 2 partitions( by the way I am installing on one drive not two.) first partition being OS X extended Journaled the second partition being as free space. Then when i'm in the windows installer i click on the unallocatted space and it shows me the error and i can't click next to install windows so if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.
