Hi, I followed the guide for installing Chimera in an EFI partition, because my radeon R9 280x needed it. The problem I have now is that from Chimera bootloader I don't see my Linux (Ubuntu 14.04) partition. Ubuntu is installed in sde3 partition (same disk as Mavericks) and the grub bootloader also to sde3 partition in EXT4 format.

I have a disk entirely dedicated to Windows 8.1 and another disk with a partition for Mavericks, another partition after this one for Ubuntu mounted as "/" (Grub is installed there) and another partition for Linux Swap. Chimera is installed in the disk that contains Mavericks and Ubuntu.

Previous to installing Chimera in EFI I had another GFX card and Chameleon installed in MBR, with that Ubuntu was selectable from Chameleon.

I think it has to do with the bootloader installed in EFI partition, but don't have a clue of what to do as I am a noob.

Windows 8.1 and OSX Mavericks boot OK.

Thanks for your help.

Put hardware in profile.
System = mainboard, rest should be obvious.

Hi, I edited my profile and also added my rig in the signature, hope it helps.

This is what gptsync says:
Code:
Current GPT partition table:
 # Start LBA End LBA Type
 1 40 409639 EFI System (FAT)
 2 409640 138698943 Mac OS X HFS+
 3 138700800 230496255 Unknown
 4 230496256 234440703 Linux Swap

Current MBR partition table:
 # A Start LBA End LBA Type
 1 1 234441647 ee EFI Protective

Status: GPT partition of type 'Unknown' found, will not touch this disk.

Partition 3 is where Ubuntu and grub are installed, EXT4 mounted as "/" but it says "Unknown" What's the problem here?

EDIT: From what I have read, the problem is the partitions got unaligned when gparted repartitioned the drive during Ubuntu installation. I try to boot from Ubuntu Live CD and install gptsync for partition syncing but still gaves me the message "Status: GPT partition of type 'Unknown' found, will not touch this disk" so still not working.

EDIT 2: I solved the problem. Booted from Ubuntu Live CD, installed gptsync. Launched gparted and formatted the EXT4 partition to FAT32, I launched gptsync and detected partition as FAT32. In gparted I formatted again the partition to EXT4 and launched again gptsync, this time detected the EXT4 partition as Linux and updated MBR. I reinstalled Ubuntu even formatting again to EXT4 mounted to "/" and this time appears in Chimera.
