I'm curious as well. Any updates? It seems like it could be a nice low cost option for those wanting Windows 8 and OS X.

I bought Vivobook S200 monday, but until then i was too buy at work to do anything. The hdd is 320gb, true, but there is a recovery partition and other stuff i don't need. So i decided to format the system and perform a clean win8 installation + mountain lion. First of all, i want to backup the entire partition scheme using acronis trueimage (for safety: there are no recovey cd/dvd/flash drive). Problems begins here. Bios is very very very buggy. I try 5 usb pendrive + 2 sd card (with internal card reader and an external reader). Result: only 1 pendrive (4gb) is seen as boot drive (trueImage recovery manager inside, but is irrelevant). In addition, mine acronis 2011 version refuse to start. I download the 2013 trial, but without a license the backup procedure doesn't work.
And obviously, i wasn't able to test mountain lion, not even reach the installation screen, because a 4gb pendrive is too small.
I'm very frustrated.

excuse for my english (i'm italian)

update: i found a 16gb pendrive that is seen by the boot selector's BIOS. Then, with unibeast i prepare the drive. Plugged into usb port. Surprise: nothing, no device in boot list anymore.
It's totally crap. I think (if i manage...) i return it to the store.

Edit: i found a bios udpate at this page:
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&s=21&m=S200E&os=&hashedid=n/a
this version is 205, mine is 204. Nothing changed.

When you prepare a unibeast drive take a look to partition scheme, if it's gpt many bios don't boot.
GPT partition table is not needed to boot, use mbr.

Obviously i used mbr scheme. It's not my first hackintosh :).
I mailed Asus for this problem (not hackintosh, on usb boot in general). Finger crossed...

Anyway, in 15+ year of working with pc, i never seen a bios totally broken at this manner... it's so hard to believe that i hope there is an hidden/strange bios entry that "automagically" resolve all problem
