U410 10.8.5 Installation

I am trying to boot the 10.8.5 installer on my u410, I am getting a KP after boot. This is the latest unibeast with 10.8.5. I see the installer then the kernel panic. It has something to do with ethernet/networking? I cant figure out what bootflags I need to get through the install. The processor is an i7-3537U.. Thanks for your time.

Edit:
Here is what the backtrace says

Kernel Extensions in backtrace': com.driver.AppleRTL8169Ethernet(1.1.4a5), dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily(3.0)
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.8)

If you have ethernet connected, try disconnecting it. Otherwise remove that driver from the Unibeast key. Assuming you called your Unibeast volume 'Installer':

Code:
# in Terminal
sudo rm -R /Volumes/Installer/Extra/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleRTL8169Ethernet.kext

What I meant was the Unibeast USB. I could through the verbose output at boot to just where the OS X Installer appeared then the panic. It was the graphics (I'm not surprised). I connected a display to the HDMI. I managed to get it to boot with very scrambled signal to the external but it was unusable but I was able to decipher that it hadnt kp'd.

From there I rebooted and used "IGPEnabler=Yes "Graphics Mode=1360x768x32" PCIRootUID=0 -v" got a successful boot to the OS X Installer. I am just using the internal mSATA for now, I have the HDD removed at this time. It is currently installing. I have been going through the threads here on the 310 so I figured thats where I'll go from here with graphics and powermanagement. Once it boots up I'll grab multibeast and maciasl.

Do you have any specific tips/links to patches from this point? It is the U410 Ultrabook i7-3537U I have disabled optimus in the bios, but I think other than that everything is set to Other OS optimized defaults.

It actually just finished installing and reboot, the HDMI came on but its scrambled... Thanks for your help if you can!

Getting it to boot with graphics to external but its very scrambled, disconnecting and reconnecting does not help.

Yes, I realize that and responded to that exact issue in my post (the KP you posted).

The very small thumbnail you posted looks like a KP...

Try booting with:
GraphicsEnabler=No IGPEnabler=Yes IGPlatformID=01660003 "Graphics Mode"=1366x768x32 -x -v

I'm sorry I'm not trying to communicate poorly. On the first post yes, kp. I managed to get past the kp and run the installation. Now I have been trying to get a display that isnt scrambled so I can proceed. I apologize for being unclear. Per your reply, I was able to get it to boot. I think the biggest thing was that I was parsing the Graphics Mode injection incorrectly. It successfully booted with, the internal display is mirroring the hdmi.

GraphicsEnabler=No IGPEnabler=Yes IGPlatformID=01660003 "Graphics Mode"=1366x768x32 PCIRootUID=0 -v

Thank you so much, so pleased to have booted (and not in safe mode)
:D

Yes, I noticed...

Cool. You might want to checkout some of the U310 threads. I believe your hardware is very similar.

U410 ml 10.8.5

I installed the patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext for use on UEFI motherboards with locked MSRs from the latest Multibeast. I upgraded my bootloader to the latest Chameleon with Chameleon Wizard, and am injecting graphics now with patch from your repo for HD4000 low res. QE/CI is working tested with Chess and getting a ripple effect on dashboard when not loaded as a space. I tried the battery patch for Ux10 but not seeing any change in the battery information being reported.

I know that I want to deviate as little as possible from the stock kexts as this is best from both a performance standpoint and for ease of update. Question, is kext for ethernet that I installed AppleRTL8169Ethernet.kext from Multibeast 5.5.2 a patched kext? Is ethernet possibly something I could get working without that kext? Can you please advise what I could/should/might be able to do with only DSDT patching and what will require patching and/or installing kexts?

Here is what I have setup so far not getting a panic at boot and the internal display is working. HDMI out is working but I think that is only if connected at boot (need to verify). I am using SMBios for MacBookAir5,2. Please take a look below...

MaciASL v 1.3 set to ACPI 5.0.
SSDT from MaciASL -> Tools -> Generate SSDT -> TDP:17W, Max Turbo Freq: 3100
DSDT from MacIASL File -> New from ACPI -> DSDT; Applied HD4000 low res

To clarify, I just confirmed that HDMI out is functioning as a secondary display only if connected at boot. If connected at boot I am able to add and remove. Otherwise, I am unable to add. Suspect this is not uncommon..
