Building with a GA-Z77N-WIFI

1. Turn on the computer
2. Press the hotkey to choose boot device

  • [*=left]If you have a Gigabyte motherboard press F12
[*=left]If you have a ASUS motherboard, press F8

3. Choose USB-HDD
4. At the Chimera Boot Screen, choose your new Mountain Lion installation.

When I get here, it just freezes and stays on the white apple screen. Please help!

To help others to help you, please list all of your hardware components. + Whether you are trying to install/run with
integrated HD4000 graphics or a separate graphics card.

Sure.

Integrated HD4000 graphics.
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB)
Atheros AR9280 Half Mini PCIe
Corsair H60
Samsung 840 250GB SSD

Worth noting: In step 3, I can't get my keyboard to work.

g. Under Name: type Mountain Lion (You can rename it later)

So I had to leave that as Untitled. Not sure if that matters?

Great, now attach a screenshot of your Multibeast selections and if possible your bios settings, or at
least which guide you used to configure the bios.

I never got to Multibeast, I'm stuck at 4.4. My bios settings are the same as v310...

Make sure you're plugged into only USB 2 ports not he USB 3 with your keyboard. They will work later.
Doesn't make any difference what you name the HDD as long as you install ML to that drive.

You don't want all of these Overclock configs set before you have ML installed try those later on.
Also skip the virtualization tech as well. Also under init display first set it to igfx and set gfx
memory to 64mb.

I ran in debug mode...Here is where it's stalling...

Sorry for the crappy pic. I can write that out if you want me to.

Possibly try a wired usb keyboard and unplug the bluetooth module, then try
the install again. You do have the intel centrino wifi/btooth card removed ???

My keyboard is wired, I've unplugged the wireless USB mouse but am having the same results.

Yes, I took out the wireless card the motherboard came with and installed it with the ''Broadcom Wireless 802 11/a/g/n Internet WLAN Adapter Card'

It seems to be failing though on the CPU Power Management, not the bluetooth or wireless card. I'm going to write it all out....
