Hi,

After a first day ok, my new rig was crashing.
I am reinstalling OS X but I was wondering if my config in MultiBeast is correct.

I took mainly the info from Moarfish build.

I am using a Sandisk SSD. Maybe I should add the Trim Enabler, but I was not sure which one.

Thanks for your comments and help.

Additional question :My Ethernet is working out of the box.
Should I still apply the MB for Ethernet ?

Yesterday, Chris and JLPALM were recommanding to use the Ln2Mac Ethernet thing.

You booted using the Unibeast drive, correct? The Unibeast drive has ethernet drivers on it. When you boot your OSX installation directly, you won't have an ethernet driver unless you install one from Multibeast.

I think the Realtek one it the right one for you. But you can check which ethernet driver is currently loaded. Go to the Apple menu and select "About This Mac". Click on "More Info…". Click on "System Report…". On the bottom left, click on "Extensions". Wait a few seconds for the list to generate. In the list, look for AppleRTL8169Ethernet.kext - this is the Realtek driver. If not there, look for RealtekRTL81xx.kext - the Lnx2Mac driver.

The Multibeast settings was perfect. The unstable system was not caused by the Multibeast setting.

I recommend you to run These two things:
- Disk Utility and check if there is any permission error or disk error.
- Run memtest in Terminal if you got any error.

Guide is here for memtest:

Thanks a lot! I learnt something new from you.
I never realised that UniBeast was loading the drivers, to be able to run the system.
But now that you say it, it seems quite normal. :D

I was really silly to restart without complete set up by the MultiBeast.

Thank you Moarfish, as always very useful comment !

When I read your message, I got struck by the reality: maybe the problem is not the MB setting, or the build, or anything else I did.
Maybe, as you are saying, it's just the USB flash drive.
Today, I took another USB drive to my friend who had a macbook pro.
And I am happy to write to you, from my running OS X!!
My first USB drive just died yesterday, when I was trying to boot.
(first time in 10 years that a USB drive dies on me. Maybe it was bad luck. I hope it was just bad luck, and nothing from this new motherboard that would have "grilled" my USB drive.)

I just applied the same setting in MB (adding the Trim for my Sandisk.)
All is up and running.
I hope it will be stable like this for now.

Thanks again!
